It would be tough to watch I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and not feel uncomfortable.
Indeed, the tantalising reality TV show puts some of the country’s most well known faces through their paces, challenging them with gruelling, gross, and at times, downright terrifying trials – all in the name of a hot meal and bragging rights.

That’s why, when you really think about it, you can’t really blame some of the celebrities for upping and leaving on their own accords.
In 2021’s newly revamped season, there’s no exceptions.
In the first few episodes, we’ve already seen our celebrities face their deepest fears, including a concerning snake challenge that not only deeply distressed the contestants, but Australian viewers as well.
And that, it seems, was the first straw to break the camels back.

Mel Buttle
It wasn’t any challenge in particular, and more Mel’s extreme phobia of snakes that marked the end for the Aussie comedian. While she grappled with the decision for some time, Mel eventually decided her phobia quelled all – she was the first to say, “I’m a celebrity… get me out of here!”.
Jack Vidgen
Former Australia’s Got Talent winner Jack Vidgen became the first campmate to be eliminated (make that ejected) from the jungle in spectacular form.
The 24-year-old was sensationally catapulted into a “putrid swamp” after coming last in a mini-challenge between himself, Travis Varcoe and Ash Williams.
Pettifleur Berenger
Real Housewife Pettifleur (or should we say Petti flew) was the second celebrity to be catapulted out of the competition.
The Melbourne reality star even had a laugh when someone commented: “Ash was like ‘Yes! I don’t have to put up with this old girl trying it on anymore.'”
Alli Simpson
It came down to Colin Fassnidge, Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico and Alli, but it was the singer, actor and social media star who was literally ejected from the show.
Alli’s scream as she was flung into the swamp was arguably the best reaction so far.
Symon Lovett
After an impressive “side flop” into the swamp, Gogglebox star Symon left the jungle on Tuesday night.
It’ll be weird seeing Adam on his own!
Paulini Curuenavuli
It was between herself, Adam and Ash but Paulini became the fifth celebrity to be ejected into the swamp.
At least she could kick back with a cocktail afterwards!
Robert ‘Dippa’ DiPierdomenico
Former AFL star Robert ‘Dippa’ DiPierdomenico was determined to stay in the jungle – at least for another night, but after failing in the mini challenge, he was ejected into the putrid swamp.
While sad to say goodbye, the 62-year-old was nevertheless happy to see Abbie succeed.
After such a short time in the so-called jungle, former Gogglebox star Adam Densten couldn’t have been more disappointed to end waist-high in pond water on on Thursday.
Despite his shock elimination, at least he’ll get to catch up with buddy Symon again.
