Bachelor in Paradise season one airs with Megan arriving as an early intruder, stirring up a love triangle between them and Florence Moerenhout.

Megan and Jake don’t go through with the final commitment ceremony and the pair leave Paradise together.
“We both knew we weren’t in love, and when you make a commitment like that on national television, people expect things from you. We just don’t want that kind of pressure put on our relationship,” Megan told Confidential.

Jake confirms that he and Megan are still together months after Paradise with a sweet picture of the two kissing.
“We did things our way and this photo says it all.. Could not be happier or more in love with you!” Jake captioned the post.
“We are taking it slow and we want to do it right because we obviously do see that there’s something really there with us and we just want to make sure we don’t stuff it up I guess,” Jake also told WHO.
Jake and Megan also reveal that their bedroom antics were so wild that Jake broke his penis!
“We were in the bathroom, well, you know, then all I heard was a scream, then ‘SNAP!'” Megan told NW.
August 2018
The couple announce their break up, just three months after the BIP finale.
“This is the post that I thought and hoped I would never ever have to write. Megan and I are sadly taking a break from our relationship together and words will never express the heartbreak I’m feeling right now,” Jake wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post.
“No matter what you believe, our relationship was as real and beautiful as they come, I love her wholeheartedly. Megan is and always will be the best part of me, the most beautiful and intelligent woman I’ve ever had the privilege of loving, my best friend.”
The BIP contestant finished by saying: “I wish with all of my heart that this wasn’t happening right now but the only thing I can hope for is that one day soon we will rekindle our special love and come back together stronger than ever before – but unfortunately that time is just not right now. I will always hold that hope.”
Megan also shared her own break up update on Instagram calling Jake “easily the biggest-hearted man I’ve ever met”, adding “I’d be lying if I said this break up has been anything but destroying.”
“Our first kiss and first date was on a reality TV show – something I’ll always treasure as a beautiful experience and as beautiful memories.
“The rest, in private, far exceeded the fun/romance of the show as we grew to love and respect each other, and also tease the s**t out of each other as best friends.”
She finished by saying: “We’ll be keeping everything else to ourselves – sending love to everyone who has supported us.”

They’re back on! Megan reveals in an emotional Instagram post that she escaped to Bali and intrastate for two months but received a romantic surprise when she came home.
“I came home nearly two months later to my apartment filled with roses, fairylights, a home-cooked meal, a playlist of all my favourite music and, a love letter. I’m not saying that I didn’t have some reasons to run, because relationships aren’t perfect, but I am saying that I found someone that took responsibility, fought relentlessly for me, and has taken time to know me, and love me,” she wrote.
“I said in Paradise that I couldn’t imagine my life without you @jakeellis86 and that hasn’t changed. You’re my best friend and my home.”
Jake shares his own loved-up post and ends it by saying: “The very first time that I said those three words, my life changed in that moment – I meant it with every part of me. Just as I do now… I love you @megan.leto.marx.”

One of Megan’s Instagram followers asks if she and Jake have broken up to which she replies with a simple “Yes.”
The blonde beauty later shares more details with Daily Mail Australia saying that the relationship is “done” and “over” adding “Did all of my crying for the whole of 2019. But I’ve been trying to keep myself busy, getting my motorbike license and getting a puppy.”
“I’m really glad that we tried again, just to make sure, but when it doesn’t work out… And I’ve never done this before. If it doesn’t work out, it’s over,” she told the publication.
“I think, if it’s this hard… It shouldn’t be this hard. It’s a slog. If it just makes you both unhappy, what’s the point of that?”
Megan added: “He was so confident that we were meant to be and he fought really hard for it and there were things in our relationship that I wasn’t happy with and he said that he would change and give it another go. I felt like I owed it to him, to the relationship and to myself to try again.”

Despite appearing on season three of Bachelor in Paradise, Jake sparks rumours that he and Megan are back together…again.
In pictures obtained by Daily Mail Australia, the couple were spotted together on the Gold Coast and appeared to watch the second episode of the season together with friends judging by some telling Instagram Stories.
