For months now, Jesinta Franklin has been hinting at a special project she’s been working on and she’s revealing all here for the first time.
In between managing her husband’s apparel company, Buddy Franklin Authentic, and working on her modelling commitments, Jesinta has spent the past 18 months developing her own app, simply titled: Jesinta Franklin, available now. So, what can you expect?
Well, have you ever wanted to work out like the 27-year-old? Then download her app to access workouts created by her personal trainer of seven years, Dan Adair, which you can do at home or in the gym. Keen to cook the simple, healthy meals Jesinta says are a staple of the Franklin household?
They’re at your fingertips: “If you can’t make it in half an hour then it’s not on the app, because I believe that healthy eating should be tasty, nutritious but also really quick and easy,” she says.
You’ll also find beauty tips, recommendations of inspiring books and stories of incredible people she’s met – all original content, including videos and images, updated weekly.
“I wanted to create a platform with a little bit more depth than the pretty pictures that you see on Instagram or Facebook,” Jesinta says. “A platform that I was fully in charge of.”
Taking full responsibility of this business venture has meant she’s spent a large portion of her time upskilling while fully funding this “labour of love” herself.
Jesinta, who “never went to university but … always wanted to”, treated the project like a real-life MBA rather than commit to a degree. “No piece of paper could ever give me the [practical] experience that I’ve got in the past 12-and-a-half months,” she says.
“Because I’ve learnt so much – about contracts, development, marketing, projections, return on investment – it already feels like a success!”
