The Wrong Girl actress does not think it’s right to get married… just yet.
Marais, 32, recently got to play dress-up and try on wedding gowns for an upcoming episode of the Channel Ten drama, and said that while she had fun, she’s not ready to walk down the aisle again anytime soon.
“It was really fun,” Marais, who plays Lily on the Australian drama, tells TV Week. “I’m sure that for the production crew, getting everything together was like they were planning a real wedding.”
The actress also said the scenes were “beautiful to film”, but if she ever does head down the aisle in real life, she probably won’t opt for a style similar to her on-screen character’s wedding gown.
Lily is featured in a modern dress, but Marais says, “It wasn’t necessarily exactly as Jess would do it,” with a laugh. “But having said that, I’m not getting married anytime soon!”
She was previously engaged to Home And Away actor James Stewart, whom she shares and co-parents 5-year-old daughter Scout Stewart with.
The two appear to have a civil relationship as 42-year-old Stewart recently shared a sweet family photo alongside his ex and his little girl.
Last month, Marais opened up to Stellar magazine about her parenting arrangement with Stewart. “Luckily we try to manage and it’s not me on my own with her all the time. She [Scout] has her father and his family, so we just do the best we can,” she said.
Stay tunes to see Marais, or, Lily get married on The Wrong Girl.
