Just three months after going public with their relationship, Jessika Power and her rapper boyfriend Filip Poznanovic announced their break-up. But the former Married At First Sight bride has admitted to feeling “so lost” after the split.
On Sunday evening, Jessika, 29, shared a video to her Instagram Stories of herself wearing a face mask and sipping a glass of wine.
“I’m sitting here, doing a face mask, having some rosé… thinking ‘What the hell do single people do on the weekend?’ Because, like, I don’t know what to do. I’m so lost,” she confessed.
“I look insane with this mask as well. I’m sure single people don’t upload videos of themselves talking like this either.”
Jessika and Filip’s split hasn’t exactly been a clean break but Jessika thanked fans for their kind messages in a lengthy Instagram post.
Captioning a series of photo shoot snaps of herself, the former MAFS bride wrote: “We are not defined by our past failures or mistakes, they set boundaries on who we are on how far we can go and how deep we can fall.”
“But more importantly they set a boundary on what not to be repeated, because our past mistakes make us who we are and this set back will only teach me to be kinder, more emotional, speak up more but also to not fall so fast or allow my heart to be hurt so easily.”
Jessika added that she’s “in love with the idea of love.”
“I seek it so desperately so I’m always setting myself up to fail. Thank you all so so much for your kind messages of concern and care. I’m a confident, happy and successful woman so I’ll bounce back this little mishap is only another chapter in my book to add and to learn from.”
The couple first went public with their relationship in January when they put on a loved-up display at the premiere of action blockbuster Occupation Rainfall on the Gold Coast.
Jessika even made a joke at her then boyfriend’s expense.
“Do not ever bring Filip to a red carpet event because he’s just jumped the barrier and tried to go over to where the media goes because now apparently he’s not only a rapper but he’s the media,” she told a person behind the camera.
Jessika was previously in a relationship with her boyfriend Samuel but the couple split 10 days after going public with their relationship after Samuel reportedly ended things due to lingering feelings for his ex.
“It seems he has unfinished business with his past relationship and I won’t be made to look like a fool while he figures that out,” Jessika said via her Instagram Stories in November.
The blonde bombshell added: “Trust your gut instinct. Life’s too short to spend it with people who aren’t 100 per cent.”
Back when she starred on MAFS, Jessika was partnered with Gympie-based farmer Mick Gould but had an affair with her co-star Dan Webb who was paired with Tamara Joy. The couple controversially re-entered the experiment as a new couple before breaking up on live TV.
