Love Island Australia star Josh Moss is back on the market, revealing he’s recovered from his recent split with long-term girlfriend, Amelia Plummer.
Speaking on his podcast, The Handbags, which he co-hosts with Married At First Sight star Michael Brunelli, Josh confirmed he’d re-entered the dating game – with varied success.
“I’m obviously single, I’m out there, I’m sort of mingling a little bit but there’s not a whole lot,” Josh revealed.
But his good friend Michael stated that Josh had come pretty far in the last few weeks in terms of his dating life.
“There’s been some progression because I feel like in the last few weeks, you were like, ‘I’m not quite ready yet. I’m sitting at my house. I’m figuring things out’. Now, you’re on the prowl a little bit,” Michael said.
“I am out there. I’m not prowling as such,” Josh mused.
“In saying that, I’m not like actively trying to search for someone or a strong connection. But if someone came along that I liked and I connected with and of course, I’ll just do that.”
But while it seems the pain of the breakup is subsiding, Josh has the challenges of the dating world ahead, as he revealed to Michael.
“I’ve been speaking to this girl and she said to me, ‘Hey, I listened to the podcast the other day’ and I didn’t know how to react to that because I’ve never been in that situation before,” Josh said.
He went on to explain that the mystery woman was ‘a little bit annoyed’ that Michael was hoping to set his friend up on blind dates.
“I mean, she’s probably never going to speak to me again, so ask me next week.”
The reality star split from his long-term girlfriend in May.
The pair met on Love Island, and were the only couple from the Australian series to remain in a long-term relationship.
Taking to Instagram, Amelia confirmed the split with a text post to her grid.
“This was the most heartbreaking yet respectful breakup. After almost four years of being together we decided to go our separate ways,” she wrote.
“Josh and I are on incredible terms (for a breakup) and we want the happiest life for one another. But sadly right now we have to find happiness separately,” Amelia continued.
“Of course I love Josh and I will miss our crazy special life together but right now this is the best for us both.”
