After an overwhelming amount of speculation as to the status of their relationship, Khloe Kardashian has officially confirmed she and Tristan Thompson are no longer together.
No doubt a difficult decision considering the pair share a 13-month-old daughter together, the news comes months after Khloe was forced to defend their relationship which involved a slew of very public cheating scandals.
Earlier this week, the Keeping up With the Kardashians star appeared on Laura Wasser’s podcast ‘Divorce sucks!’ where she opened up about her choice to end things with the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball player.
“[Our split] does f–king suck. It does,” she said in a sneak peek from the upcoming podcast. “Tristan and I broke up not too long ago, so it’s really raw. And so those emotions could be heightened at times, but I do everything in my power.
While the Good American co-founder pointed out that transitioning into single mum life has been a challenge, she’s tried to remain amicable with Tristan for the sake of their baby girl, True— who Khloe says “doesn’t know what’s going on” but “feels the energy”.
“I’m a big believer of that,” she began. “I do everything in my power to not put any, sort of, heavy energy around her. Maybe that sounds a little too bohemian to some people.”
Last month, Khloe and Tristan were forced to be in each other’s company as they celebrated their daughter’s first birthday. While it was no doubt unpleasant, Khloe said she wanted to have happy memories that the estranged pair would never forget.
“I know that she’s gonna want to look back on all her childhood memories like we all do,” she said. “Me and my sisters, we will sit on the floor, looking at our old photo albums, talking. … I want to give her the same thing. And I know her dad is a great person, I know how much he loves her and cares about her, so I want him to be there. And it was civilized and we did it.”

The former couple— who started dating in September 2016— parted ways in February of this year after Tristan was caught hooking up with her younger sister Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods.
Although Tristan refuses to speak publically about his infidelity, once admitting it was “fake news”, Jordyn recently opened up about the public scandal and the horrific impact it had on her family.
“My little sister was bullied in school and I wanted to show her that I was bullied by the world,” she said. “I understood for the first time what it’s like being a black woman—in a just society, how we can be so disrespected and nobody can really understand to that extent until you have to live it.”

The former Good American model has since had a few awkward encounters with the Kar-Jenner clan and is reportedly no longer friends with Kylie.
