Khloe Kardashian has once again reassured fans she has no plans to get back with Tristan Thompson, amid claims the basketball player is desperately trying to prove he’s changed his ways.

In classic Khloe fashion, she took to her Instagram story last night to subtly shade the 28-year-old in a series of cryptic posts, just days after he said he was “so proud of the woman” she’s become in a glowing social media post.
“Not all toxic people are cruel and uncaring. Some of them love us dearly,” she shared, seemingly referring to the cheating athlete’s newfound love for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.
“But they are toxic to our being simply because their needs and way of existing in the world force us to compromise ourselves and our happiness.”
She also posted some less pointed quotes like, “And to love in this wild world is the bravest thing you could ever do,” and “Be responsible for the energy you are projecting into the world.”
Her comments— which all but confirm she won’t be buying into Tristan’s attempts to win her back— come after he was slammed for doting over the Good American founder after she won Best Reality TV star at the People’s Choice Awards.
“Wow wow wow @khloekardashian 👑👑 Congrats Momma Koko on winning best reality star 2019, that’s two years in a row,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos of Khloe posing on the red carpet.
“Two time champ. I love the sound of that. So proud of all you have accomplished this year. Revenge body is something that always stands out to me, you challenge people to fight for a better YOU. True and Myself are so proud of you and the sisters for everything last night. Y’all are truly role models to our younger generation.”
Expectedly, fans were a tad uncomfortable with his OTT comments, with thousands on Khloe’s side criticisingf Tristan— who cheated on her with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods— for his “toxic” and “petty” behaviour.
“Sad you didn’t realise her worth,” one fan said, adding it’s time he leaves her alone and focuses on co-parenting instead. “Hush up Tristan, you were half of the drama in 2019.”
Another weighed in, writing: “Too bad you’re a dog and lost the best thing to ever happen to you! You made your bed so lay in it buddy. You’re a confused man who needs help.”
On the flip side, a few people praised the 28-year-old— who’s been branded “Tristan third trimester Thompson”— for trying to be nice.
“Nothing wrong with being positive towards the person that gave you a daughter,” one fan of the star wrote. “People, stop being so hateful. Koko is a great person and she deserves for him to treat her this way.”
“He’s just supporting the mother of his child.”
As we know, Tristan is still very much in love with his ex. He recently relocated to move closer to Khloe’s Calabasas mansion, tried to kiss her at their daughter’s birthday party, left a bunch of cute messages on her Instagram photos, and even gifted her with a huge diamond ring. However, in spite of all his efforts, Khloe has no plans to reconnect with him, revealing on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast that she has little interest in dating anyone right now.
“I haven’t jumped into dating,” she said during the recording in November. “I don’t care to date right now. I’m not in a rush for it. I feel so good in my life and I don’t really need much else. So, something that I’m focusing on is just making sure that I process everything.”
“I think, especially in my family, we’re good at moving on. We have very big forgiving hearts. We just move on, but we don’t really talk about things that happened, and I don’t really know if that’s healthy or not.”
She also opened up about co-parenting with Tristan, admitting she looks to her mum, Kris Jenner, for advice.
“Oh, it’s hard. It’s not easy for me,” she dished. “You know, it would be easier for me to keep my daughter away…but he never hurt True. Him and I have our own relationship and then Tristan and True have theirs, and I will never come in between that. I don’t believe in that.”
As for where she stands with Tristan now, Khloe said she’s chosen to forgive him for the sake of bettering her family.
“I think we all make mistakes, we’re humans. But it’s only going to hurt me if I’m holding on to this anger and playing this victim role. I don’t believe in being a victim. I just feel like we’re all so quick to exile people, and it’s just so heavy to me.”
“I want to show my daughter it’s OK and it’s a beautiful thing to also forgive her dad. He’s a great person. Maybe him and I weren’t compatible in that way, but that’s OK.”
