Kim Kardashian has made a thoughtful post to Instagram in the wake of her recent breakup with comedian Pete Davidson.
The pair split in early August, creating a media frenzy as her sister, Khloe, also welcomed a new baby via surrogate on the same day.
While Kim refrained from posting for a while, she made returns to promote her new partnership with Beats and her skincare line, and share a reel with her daughter, North.
She’s also shared a few spicy snaps of herself in the gym, but her newest post shows a softer side to Kim.
“Time will always tell,” she captioned a three-photo carousel of herself looking pensive, posing in a darkened room in a long, sheer skirt and an oversized orange jacket over a Prada singlet.
She stared pensively into the distance in the first image and stood with her hands together in the third.
While there’s no confirmation that the photos related to her breakup, she could have been addressing the many rumours that surround her split with Pete in her caption.
While some rumours claimed that Kim broke up with Pete due to his immaturity, and the fact they had to manage a long-distance relationship while he filmed a project in Australia, sources have also claimed that Pete was the one to break it off.
A report by Daily Mail Australia said that Pete was “sick of the reality TV fakeness”, and ended the relationship to keep away from it.
“The word is that Pete did the dumping and he’s actually been trying to end it for a little while now,” the unnamed source claimed.

“He never thought it would be a super long-term ultra-serious thing and was getting irritated with Kris [Jenner’s] spin making it seem like they were soul mates,” they continued.
“He tried ending it a few weeks ago, then Kris sent down to Australia to keep up appearances for the sake of the show which he really didn’t like and felt was so forced and contrived.”
The pair did look pretty loved-up in the most-recent trailer for season two of The Kardashians, but it’s also come to light that Pete did not like the way he was represented.
Hopefully, we’ll learn more about their split once season two arrives.
