Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s chemistry filled performance of “Shallow” at the 2019 Oscars gave birth to rumours they were much more than co-stars. And, according to the pop sensation, that’s exactly what she hoped would happen!

Gracing the cover of Elle’s December issue, the Mother Monster chatted to the fabulous Oprah Winfrey about their steamy performance, revealing their jaw-dropping on-stage chemistry was orchestrated so fans truly believed they were just as in love as their A Star Is Born characters were.
“We made a love story,” the songstress began. “For me, as a performer and as an actress, of course, we wanted people to believe that we were in love. And we wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars.
“We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television that it was being watched on. And we worked hard on it, we worked for days. We mapped the whole thing out—it was orchestrated as a performance…In truth, when we talked about it, we went, ‘Well, I guess we did a good job!’”
Despite her stunning admissions, an insider close to the award-winning artist recently claimed Gaga really was in love with The Hangover actor and was heartbroken when their short and secret romantic relationship quickly dissolved.
“There’s no doubt about it – Lady Gaga fell for Bradley during filming and promotion of A Star is Born,” a source told Life & Style magazine. “She thought he was “the one” and assumed he felt the same way – until recently.”
Although Bradley’s alleged attitude spelled the end of their short-lived fling, with rumours swirling he “totally backed off”, the unnamed source later revealed those closest to the pop icon fear she’s still being “strung along” by the hunky A-lister.
“She’s telling friends he broke her heart,” reports Life & Style.
“Gaga feels like Bradley led her on because he was giving off all the signs that they’d become an item once he was single,” said the magazine’s source, referring to Bradley’s split from his girlfriend of five years, Irina Shayk. “He suddenly realised he was jumping into a full-blown commitment to someone else and got scared.”
