Taking to Instagram on Monday, the Instagram influencer shared a stunning mirror selfie from her bedroom and thanked her supporters in the wake of her break-up, which was announced in January shortly after they filmed the MAFS grand reunion special.
“If I could express the pain I have been in lately in words I would,” she wrote.
“I have had such amazing people come take me out and bring a smile to my face, the people who have made me laugh and shared their stories and what they have, or still currently, going through.”
She added: “I’ve cried so much lately. Even randomly when keeping busy. I’m trying to take care of myself but omg this is hard. Last Tuesday I had to be in Sydney and I packed everything and even sat in the car but freaked out and went back inside.
“Some moments I can manage and you might not even know how sad I’am. To all the people I have constantly messaged lately asking for advice or just letting me express oh you have no idea how much I thank you for that. I know I’m a broken record and annoying but omg the biggest thank you! Life is a b**** sometimes!!”
Lizzie was inundated with loving messages from her fans and followers, including many reality stars.
“Big cuddles hunny. Looking stunning,” wrote The Bachelor season seven winner Chelsie McLeod.
“Love u x,” penned fellow MAFS bride Connie Crayden.
Former Bachelorette Angie Kent, who went through her own public break-up last year, also wrote: “Wow” in response to her photo before adding, “Thinking of you x.”
This is not the first insight Lizzie has given fans into her break up with Seb, whom she was partnered with during the 2020 experiment.
A week on from their shock announcement, the glamorous reality star shared a photo of herself all made up but remarked that the look was “not her current situation.”
“On the couch watching Heartbreak High (thank you Netflix) drinking green tea with tan on, in an old dressing gown and the ugliest pyjamas ever known to man.”
Lizzie’s ex Seb has also shared some sad details of what led to their split and suggested that his decision to move from his hometown of Adelaide to Sydney to live with his girlfriend played a part.
“I immediately felt totally isolated in Sydney, different culture, different energy, knowing very few people. Liz was my family and friends at that stage,” he shared on Instagram last month.
The personal trainer then explained that his feelings of isolation only increased when COVID struck admitted that he put most of his efforts into his work.
“Covid hits harder… the seminar at near completion with a great team.. cancelled. I decide to take my wellness vision online and begin Marketing for the first challenge,” he continued, before saying that the split with Lizzie left him “heartbroken.”
