He may have been 2020’s leading man on The Bachelor but Locky Gilbert knows a thing or two about reality TV since he first found fame on Australian Survivor.
Whilst the adventure travel guide and his winner Irena Srbinovska have kept in contact with several of the ex contestants, this week the couple were reunited with Locky’s Survivor co-star, David Genat.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday evening, David, who first starred on the Champions vs Contenders season and then won the All Stars series in 2020, shared a photo of the trio.
“The star of The Bachelor,” David captioned the post. “And 2 guys from Survivor.”
After travelling around the country for several months, Locky and Irena are back at their home base in Perth where David and his family also live.
Since their Survivor days, Locky and David have stayed friends and have shared messages of support to each other on social media.
Following his big Survivor win in 2020, Locky dedicated a post to David featuring a collection of snaps of them together during their time on the reality show together.
“Was an absolute pleasure playing with you man. I couldn’t think of a better player and person to win Survivor All-Stars. A true all-star in all our eyes. #survivorau #ALLSTARS #welldeserved,” he wrote back in March last year.
Locky and Irena also lent their support to David when he was starring on Celebrity Apprentice when they attended a charity auction he’d helped to organise for the business reality show.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed the couple in the premiere episode and since the Celebrity Apprentice episode was filmed in late 2020, not long after Locky and Irena’s Bachelor finale aired, the night out was one of the couple’s first public date nights.

In a recent Q&A, Locky and Irena described what it was like travelling together during COVID times and admitted that they had their fair share of fights.
“When you spend that much time with each other you will fight. The best thing to do is just take 10 [minutes], go for a walk on your own and calm down,” they said.
“Make sure that you are doing things that you both enjoy even on the days when things go to s**t. They will always get better.”
