Ever since they professed their love for one another on The Bachelor, fans have been waiting for Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska to announce an engagement or pregnancy. But now the season eight winner has revealed that she and her partner are keen for babies – and ideally twins!
In an Instagram Q&A, Irena was asked about wedding and baby plans and if it was easy to have conversations about these topics with Locky.
“We have spoken about getting engaged, pretty much planned our next 5 years already and we would love to have some babies,” the nurse turned reality star replied.
Irena was also asked if she was worried about her co-star Bella Varelis, who became the runner-up, during the final episode and if she had faith in Locky.
“This is a face of anxiety!” Irena replied, alongside a photo of herself holding Locky’s hands moments before he told her that she was his chosen winner.
“The night before finale I was a mess which was strange because the moment I met Locky on the red carpet I knew it was going to be us at the end. My problem is my head, it thinks too much and overanalyses everything so I stressed.”
The Bachelor winner also revealed some behind-the-scenes information about the day the finale was filmed.
“Also what you guys don’t see is that I got ready at 4am and this moment was at 5pm. So waiting all day stressed me out even more, so much so that when Locky said it was me I was in shock for a few hours.
“My heart knew, with each moment that we spent together I knew that he was my person and he was my soulmate.”
Last month, the couple attended Irena’s cousin’s traditional Macedonian wedding and Locky threw himself into the cultural festivities.
“You were literally thrown right into a full Macedonian wedding, your first with my family and you were right in there. You were dancing, singing and you finally got to meet more of my family. Love you so much,” Irena wrote on Instagram.
Whilst fans gushed over Locky and Irena, many couldn’t resist asking about the couple’s own plans to tie the knot.
“So happy for you both can’t wait to see you two get married,” one penned.
“When is your turn?” asked another.
“I can’t wait till you get married… so much love,” mused a third.
Back when the Bachelor finale aired, Locky confirmed that marriage and babies were definitely on the cards.
“I don’t see myself being with anyone else for the rest of my life so it’s definitely going to happen but we’re just going to get stuck into the start of our relationship and it will come later,” he told WHO in September last year.
Irena also sent fans into a frenzy in December when she shared a photo of Locky cuddling a friend’s baby to her Instagram Stories.
“A man with a baby😍,” she captioned it, adding: “My ovaries 😫.”
