After 23 miserable months with absolutely zero vibes or banter, Love Island Australia is back. Taking a break throughout the pandemic, the show is now entering its fourth week in the land Down Under.
WATCH: Inside the Love Island Australia Villa
After Casa Amor saw the couples ‘sticking’ and ‘twisting’ all over the place a few weeks back, we were hoping things might stay smooth-sailing until the finale next week.
However, the producers had other ideas, introducing three new bombs since the last re-coupling, and sending three others home. While new bombs Eliza and Jade stole Aaron and Noah respectively, but tonight, their choices really did not end up working for them. While Eliza was saved by Hugh, Jade and long-time contestant Lexy were dumped from the villa tonight.
The official couples prior to tonight were:
- Eliza & Aaron
- Zoe & Chris
- Tina & Mitch
- Lexy & Hugh
- Jade & Noah
- Taku & Michela
- Courtney (single)
- Jess (single)
And the FINAL couples of Love Island Australia season three are…
AARON & JESS
Looks like these two lovebirds are going to work it all out! After a nasty spat over a boob-slip and a perceived negative reaction, Aaron almost walked out of the villa. However, Jess asked him to stay so they could work it out.
They were thrown another problem when new bomb, Eliza, stole Aaron and coupled up with him. Aaron told her openly that his connection with Jess was too strong to consider other options, and he chose her tonight in the re-coupling, meaning they will head into the final together. However, we’re not too sure if their dramatic week will affect their chance of winning the show, and $50,000.
NOAH & COURTNEY
These two have had a rough ride, but it seems like things might finally be working out for the better. Courtney was confronted after Casa Amor when her previous connection, Nic, walked in alone, eliminating himself from the villa, and causing her to take a step back. Her slow pace led Noah to think she wasn’t interested, leading him to explore a connection with Jade. They kissed and made up tonight, with Noah choosing Courtney at the final re-coupling.
CHRIS & ZOE
These two are CONTENDERS! Of course they re-coupled together – during the episode, Chris asked Zoe to be his girlfriend, which was met with a resounding yes. They’re thick as thieves, and sickeningly happy together, and we must say we like their chances at the upcoming finale.
MITCH & TINA
These two are also on top of the world, sharing a date in last night’s episode that saw them affirm their strong affection for each other. Mitch even made Tina a beaded bracelet, which she wore to the re-coupling tonight. Mitch told host Sophie Monk that he’d never felt about anyone the way he feels about Tina, and that he was excited for what waited for them on the outside. However, they’re not official like Zoe and Chris are. Better get that label going if they want to win the show!
TAKU & MICHELA
These two are super sweet! After a lot of back-and-forth, and discussions about their feelings for each other, it seems that easing off the pressure was the best way to go. After taking it a bit easier on themselves, they established a good connection, which seems to be growing day by day. But did Michela come in too late for them to win?
HUGH & ELIZA
When Lexy admitted to Hugh that her affections weren’t growing, he turned his head to look for other opportunities. He and Eliza shared a fascinating conversation about her hair, which led to him choosing her in the re-coupling, which is nice. Honestly, coming in during the last two weeks of the show doesn’t do great things for their odds at winning the show, but at least now they have a connection to pursue in the outside world. Good luck Hugh and Eliza!
