He’s the Irish-born real estate agent who has been compared to Tarzan, Aquaman, Thor and Jon Snow, but Love Island hunk Eoghan Murphy wasn’t always quite to chiselled…if his before and after shots are anything to go by.

In the last 18 months, the hunky reality star says he’s completely overhauled his diet and fitness routine, telling Men’s Health that his “head isn’t the best, the money maker for me is my rig, so I needed that to be in top condition if I had any hope of turning girls heads inside the villa.”

The sudden change in his outlook came after realising he was unhappy with not only his appearance but how he felt when he was at his heaviest.

“It was March last year when I started my fitness journey. I was just sick of not being happy with how I looked. I’d had two or so years of just not caring about what food I ate or sticking to a consistent workout routine and it culminated in me being the heaviest I had been by a good 8kg. I was weighing in at 104kg. I had a scattergun approach to both my diet and workout routine,” he said.

“I was chasing the dream in real estate, wanting to be super successful and wealthy until I realised that none of that matters if you’re not healthy. So many people invest in trying to acquire wealth yet at the same time neglect their health. It’s funny because ever since I started making my health the priority everything else in my life started to grow as well including my work,” he continued.

Before entering the Love Island villa, the Irish hottie admitted he was there to find love after recently coming out of a long-term relationship.

“I was in a relationship pretty much my entire life. When it happens you always think the grass is greener,” he said.

“I enjoy being in a relationship. I want a companion. All my mates have girlfriends and I’m the one on my own. I want a girl, I want someone I can spend the rest of my life with,” Eoghan – who currently lives on the Gold Coast – continued.
