As we push through the last month of winter Down Under, you might be pleased to hear that hot girl summer is ahead, with Love Island Australia promising a return in October – and now fans have finally gotten a first look at the new season!
The famous franchise has already been on our minds, with the explosive UK season grabbing our attention over the last few months.
So, we’ve been on the edge of our seats waiting for news of what our local production might have in store for us.
With all the rumours beginning to swirl, here’s everything we know about Love Island Australia’s fourth season.
Where will Love Island Australia be filmed?
It was ambitious of production to bring back the show during Covid-19 last year, as it meant the stars couldn’t be sent to a far-off sunny location.
Instead, the cast of season three landed in Byron Bay – a beautiful spot – but there was no disguising the pretty consistent rain and not-so-tropical environment.
This season, filming of the show will take place in Mallorca, Spain, filling us with deep summer envy!
We’re ready to see the girls don the bikinis and tanning lotion as they head into a new and improved villa.
Who will star in Love Island Australia?
The first look at the new season just aired, showing glimpses of the new group of singles!
Although the trailer didn’t reveal too much – host Sophie Monk gave some more insight during Nine’s 2023 upfronts presentation earlier this month.
“We have high-flying real estate agents, we have a soccer player, we have a model, a dancer and we have a famous groom,” she told the audience.

How to Watch Love Island Australia Season Four
For the first time, Love Island Australia will only be airing on 9Now, Nine’s online streaming platform.
But don’t fear! There will still be a lot of episodes – with new episodes dropping daily between Monday and Thursday.
Season four of Love Island Australia is set to air on Monday, October 31.

When was Love Island Australia Season Four Filmed?
The new season of the beloved reality TV show is switching it up this year – airing pre-recorded episodes. Usually, the show is filmed, edited and aired within 24 hours, followed by a live finale.
Unlike previous seasons, this year, Love Island Australia has already filmed three alternative finale episodes with different winners.
This means finalists and audiences will find out who has won at the same time!
What are the season three islanders up to now?
Love Island Australia doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to lasting relationships.
Josh and Amelia lasted the longest, and no couples from season three were able to give them a run for their money.
The winning couple, Tina Provis and Mitchell Hibberd, split a few months after the finale, while their fellow finalists – couples Jess Velkovski and Aaron Waters, and Zoe Clish and Chris Graudins – had both split within a couple of weeks after the finale aired.
There’s also been a bit of couple-swapping going on. Chris took up with Zoe’s best friend from the villa, Lexy Thornberry, a few months after their relationship broke down, leading Zoe to block them both on Instagram.
Tina also shared on Abbie Chatfield’s podcast, It’s A Lot, that Mitch had slept with fellow co-star Emily Ward shortly after they separated.
However, it’s not all bad! Courtney Stubbs, who struggled to make a strong connection on the show, has recently confirmed she is dating Married At First Sight star Jack Millar – a reality TV pairing we’re all getting behind!
