“This girl once hid cockroaches in her boyfriend’s breakfast when she caught him lying,” co-star Adam Farrugia read from a card as Vanessa confirmed she was behind the foul act.

“Don’t take any breakfast from Vanessa,” Adam added with a laugh, with another contestant said: “I won’t be eating any cereal in the kitchen anymore, put it that way.”

While the businesswoman didn’t specify who the unlucky man was, she hinted it could’ve been Rhyce Power— the brother of Married At First Sight star, Jessika. It’s no secret the former couple has a colourful history, with Vanessa once admitting she “ignored the red flags” in their relationship, despite having a “bad feeling” about the tradie.

Two months ago, the 24-year-old— who also dated Jessika’s ex-boyfriend MAFS’ Dan Webb— opened up about her romance with Rhyce, revealing she called time on their relationship after he allegedly assaulted her at a fitness camp in Thailand.

As previously reported, Vanessa cut the trip short and headed back to Australia to file for an intervention order. Under the Victorian intervention order, which is similar to an apprehended violence order (AVO), the Perth-based carpenter is banned from contacting Vanessa.

She spoke about the reported abuse on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself with what appeared to be a black eye.

7 days of isolation and I’m back to myself again. Those closest to me already know what happened. This was taken the day I left and it does not even hint the extent of what I went through.”

Vanessa continued: “Domestic violence isn’t a f****ing joke, so here is (literally) a taste of your own medicine. On a completely separate note, @rhyce_power how is Thailand?”

Rhyce later denied the allegations in a lengthy Instagram post back in April.

“There’s always two sides to every story, and everyone needs to believe that,” he said. “Everyone’s jumped on the bandwagon without even hearing my side of the story – which I understand – if a girl makes an allegation about a claim [sic], whether it’s an attractive girl or any girl, everyone’s going to jump on the bandwagon, and I fully understand that.”

This isn’t the only controversy that Vanessa has found herself in recently. After she launched a bitter attack on Jess Power in an Instagram Q&A, the controversial MAFS star said she’s ready to lay into her… on television.

Appearing on KISS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the fiery reality TV star said she’s hoping to have it out with Vanessa on this season of Love Island Australia.

“She slagged me off on social media and when the promo for Love Island came out, I thought, ‘oh no, that’s why the social-climbing has been happening,'” she dished. “She said a lot of things about me so why not say it on air.”

It’s clear Jess has always disliked Vanessa, even admitting she told her brother from the get-go that “she’s trouble” and he “needed to get rid of her”.

Her hatred for Vanessa later reached fever pitch when she discovered the businesswoman had also dated her ex-boyfriend, MAFS contestant Dan Webb.

“She dated my brother and then she went to Dan and one of my other ex-boyfriends,” an angry Jess continued. “They were only together for a few months but then she went to my ex Stephen. I was confused and shocked.”
