His bride Bec Zacharia may have stolen the show on their big day but MAFS groom Danny Hewitt certainly made an impression on his wedding episode.
Inked all over with tattoos and bearing a heavy beard, fans couldn’t help but spot the resemblance to Irish UFC fighter Conor McGregor.
The pair have even been spotted wearing a crown brooch. What are the chances?

After his wedding episode where things got off to an awkward start with Bec, one fan even mused on X, “Danny thinks he’s Conor McGregor.”
But that’s not the first time he’s been compared.
Back in August when MAFS was still filming, eagle-eyed sleuths on the So Many Receipts podcast shared a side-by-side image on their TikTok and we’re seeing double!
‘I’m always overdressed!’
What’s more, Danny, who moved to Australia from the UK in his twenties, has dabbled in a spot of boxing which makes the resemblance even stronger.
Describing himself as cheeky, Danny takes a lot of pride in his appearance.
“You can never be overdressed or overeducated and I’m definitely not over educated so I’m always overdressed!” he joked in Wednesday night’s episode.
However, he also admitted that he’s “a gentleman” when it comes to dating.
Are Danny and Bec still together?
Despite having one of the funniest and most light-hearted weddings of the MAFS 2026 series so far, it’s not looking like a happily ever after for these two.
“I can just feel it, it’s not going to work,” Bec mused after the wedding.
However, the couple patched things up and even slept together on their honeymoon, but Danny told Bec and the experts that he “didn’t feel any chemistry” with his new wife, and that he sees her as more of a “friend.”
