MAFS 2026 has wrapped up for the season (minus the reunion episodes!) and the fallout of Gia’s behaviour is still landing at our feet, with the bride finally taking accountability for her actions. A common gripe among fans was that Gia was stirring the pot continuously, but somehow managing to get away relatively unscathed.
However, that all changed when she finally agreed to appear on MAFS: After The Dinner Party.
She was interviewed on the show this week by hosts Brittney Hockley, Laura Byrne and Jules Lund and admitted that one comment in particular about her on-screen husband Scott McCristal was a “low blow”.
What exactly did Gia say in her TikTok?
The couple, who started off strong on the season, had crumbled in recent weeks, and then their relationship imploded when it was revealed Gia had been texting her alternative match James.
In a now-deleted TikTok, Gia questioned whether Scott could even read, write or spell.
“Can I just say, the radio thing is so cute and sweet of you, Scott, but elephant in the room,” she said. “The bigger problem here we should address is that you don’t know how to spell, read or write.”
“It’s ‘anonomous’, and an epiphany is a moment that comes to you in your brain like a lightbulb moment,” Gia said.

Sitting on the couch with the MAFS: After The Dinner Party hosts, Gia was pushed for an explanation on why she was posting the scathing TikTok.
Gia admitted she was making “rage bait” social media content in a bid to get more “clicks”.
“I feel like I’m ragebaiting, I guess, and just being funny on there just to get clicks,” Gia said. “It’s not anything deep. Whatever, I’ll make fun of myself.”
However, Brittney pushed back on the response, saying that “being self deprecating is one thing” but it’s unfair when the content is “attacking” someone else.
“I posted it and deleted it ten minutes later, obviously somebody got it,” Gia replied.
“I do regret that video. I’m sorry to Scott. I think that was just a low blow.
“I won’t say anything bad about him going forward.”
Well… could this be the start of something new?
