When Bryce Ruthven threw a glass of water at fellow groom Sam Carraro at the second Married At First Sight dinner party, all hell broke loose.

The radio announcer found himself in several aggressive arguments with Sam about everything from how Bryce has been treating his wife Melissa to personal remarks about his physical appearance but despite things getting heated, Bryce tells WHO this isn’t his normal behaviour.

“I’m not an angry person,” the 31-year-old TV groom asserts, adding that the conflict between him and Sam was building up for around three days before.

“I’m not going to lie, obviously I said all those things but when Sam was bringing Melissa into it and blatantly lying I was not going to back down.”

When asked if he stands by his previous claim that he’d throw the whole jug at Sam if he had the opportunity again, Bryce adds: “Absolutely!”

Earlier this week former MAFS bride KC Osborne spilled on our new podcast Love In Reality that she and her ex Michael Goonan caught up with Bryce and his ex-fiancée last year.

“I’m not sure if everyone is there for the right reasons, I’ve got to be honest with you,” she remarked, adding that Bryce was picking the couples’ brains for insights into MAFS and split with his fiancée shortly afterwards.

However, Bryce was surprised when a friend informed him of KC’s claims.

“Yeah I’m a bit disappointed about KC,” he says.

“It was Easter last year when Michael and KC were over. I’d interviewed them before and I get on with Michael so the two of us were out at the barbecue. We were talking about work, his son and that so the show wasn’t the main focus.

“Some people are just trying to stay relevant I guess.”

Bryce also hit back at claims he ended things with his ex-fiancée to star on the reality dating show.

“I’ve said it before but I’d checked out of that relationship about six months before I ended it.”

As for his current relationship with on-screen wife Melissa Rawson, Bryce says he loves how “genuine” she is and her calming influence and despite having plenty of family and friends there, he confirms to us that he has moved to Melbourne – Melissa’s hometown.

He may not be spilling any spoilers on whether the two are still together, but Bryce admits they’re still on good terms.

“I have gone over to Melissa’s house a few times I’m not going to lie,” he says, adding that he’s been by her side as the episodes and drama unfurl.

“I think it’s important that I help her out with all the attention that’s coming our way.”
