Chris Jensen and Jaimie Gardner had what could be arguably the shortest Married At First Sight marriage in the history of the show but after the Queensland groom made the bold decision to walk from the experiment, fans are cheering him on.

In case you missed it, on Monday night Chris confronted his wife Jaimie, 34, after she allegedly said she wrote stay at their first and last Commitment Ceremony for the cameras and that she had plans for how they would exit the show.

When Jaimie denied doing so, the 32-year-old groom refused to be “part of that fakeness”.

“The simple fact of the matter is I’m not here to pretend I was actually here to find someone and it’s just horrible what’s going on,” he confessed.

An argument then ensued and Chris made the decision to leave the experiment.

“I came in here to give my heart and to put everything in and I did. I hope that I will actually find the one that I’m supposed to be with and they just want to be with me too.”

However fans praised the TV groom for standing up to his wife and shared their thoughts on social media.

“So much respect for Chris calling Jaimie on her s*** & disgusting behaviour towards him. She is so fake. He is totally right in saying that it was ‘wrong’ for Jaimie to behave the way she did. Gaslighting anyone?” mused one fan.

“So glad Chris from #MAFS #MAFSAUS left Jaime. She didn’t deserve such a beautiful soul like Chris,” remarked another.

Chris even gained some celebrity fans, including former MAFS bride KC Osborne.

The season seven contestant took to her Instagram Stories and shared a screengrab from the official MAFS account that featured Chris.

On the plus side, fans are also delighted that Chris is now officially back on the market.

With his good looks and kind heart, we doubt he’ll be single for long. In fact, he’s already been inundated with offers.

“Chris you Poor bloke! Come, marry me…I’m single and I’ll be happy to have you,” one fan penned on social media.

“I am positive Chris will find someone who will love him unconditionally. If not, he can call me because he is truly amazing inside and out,” wrote another.
