Following an uncomfortable encounter at the TV Week Gold Logies which left the cast of Sunrise with a bad taste in their mouth, Martha Kalifatidis has hit back at their shock claims she physically assaulted David Koch after attempting to get her face in front of the camera.
The 31-year-old Married At First Sight star and her boyfriend, fellow MAFS star Michael Brunelli, posted a video to her YouTube channel addressing his accusations along with co-host Samantha Armytage’s claims the controversial contestant is still chasing her “15 minutes of fame”.
“I was excited about the Logies for weeks. That all came crashing down this morning when I woke up to see @kochie_online and @sam_armytage from the Sunrise morning show ridicule and bully me on national television,” the makeup artist began before addressing the elbowing incident on the red carpet. “Sam continued to make fun of me, a woman in the industry that I’m meant to look up to. Sam, you have singlehandedly incited online hate towards me.”

She continued: “Just when I had built myself back up after the tumultuous time on MAFS, you brought it all crashing down. Kochie, you are a father, yet you felt it necessary to shame me on TV. You felt it was OK to criticise me, call me short and turn what may have been an accidental bump on the arm into something scandalous. You’re the bullies!”
The Kim Kardashian lookalike went on to directly address host Sam, admitting she was disappointed in her behaviour. And then turned her attention to Kochie, slamming him for his “hateful” comments.
“You don’t know me. I have never spoken to you. Do you think it’s okay to sit on the morning show make up this story that I elbowed what’s his name? She really went for me. I didn’t even speak to you the whole night.”

The outspoken Australian reality TV star was the subject of yesterday morning’s Sunrise breakfast program after Martha allegedly snubbed the Channel Seven newsreaders.
“I’ve still got bruises in the ribs from the Married At First Sight woman who elbowed me on the way through on the red carpet,” co-host Kochie said on the segment yesterday, to which Sunrise newsreader and co-host Natalie Barr replied: “The one with the dark hair?”
“Someone is saying Martha in my ear. I could not pick her out of a line-up, but my god she got you in the ribs,” Samantha. “She’s got an attitude,” Natalie continued.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Channel Seven sports reporter Mark Beretta said, “Do not get between Martha and the camera.”
“Especially when you’ve only got 15 minutes of fame,” Sam teased as the panel erupted in laughter.
