Former Married at First Sight contestant Tracey Jewel has weighed in on the troubled relationship between Bryce and Melissa this season, and her response is heartbreaking.

Last night, the 37-year-old former contestant who is currently in hospital, pregnant with an irritable uterus, took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the controversial new MAFS couple and how she thought their traits mirror her own toxic on-screen romance.
“It’s been hard to watch Melissa and Bryce’s relationship because I’ve been exactly where she is,” Tracey explained in an Instagram post last night of her in hospital.
“Three years ago when I was on MAFS, I too was terrified of rejection, abandonment, and didn’t have much self-worth when it came to putting up with guys and toxic behaviour. And this fear of rejection stemmed from way back being adopted at birth.”
Tracey, 37, appeared on the fifth season of the hit dating reality TV show in 2018, where she was paired with Dean Wells. According to Tracey, Dean, who was busted having an “affair” with fellow contestant Davina, exhibited similar traits to what fans have seen and called out from Bryce this week.
“Attracting narcissists was my relationship pattern, I felt unsafe expressing my needs, standing any ground was a struggle, and those types of guys liked it that way,” she continued.
“When matched with Dean, I was so worried about him leaving me rather than focusing on getting to know him and if he was a right fit for me. Going through the experiment and discovering my worth as well as watching myself back on TV I had ‘aha’ moments on how to break this pattern.”

Tracey added: “I put myself first. I learnt to value and trust myself. I developed boundaries of how I wanted to be treated and over time I learnt how to be vulnerable yet keep my independence and choose healthy relationships.”
Looking to the future, Tracey hopes that “Melissa will see what I saw, and I know many of us who have been in her shoes will be showing her our love and support ❤️ As for Bryce, I’m not wasting my time or words. Personally, I don’t believe narcissists can change.”
Earlier this week, fans slammed Bryce for his behaviour towards on-screen wife-to-be, Melissa, after he ranked her “fourth most attractive,” told her “she wasn’t my type,” and swore at another female contestant, before he was called out by fellow husband-to-be, Sam. Fans were even more shocked and confused to discover Bryce’s secret girlfriend.
