Congratulations are in order for Ning Surasiang who has welcomed a new bub into her family. But no, the Married At First Sight star hasn’t given birth – she’s officially a grandmother at just 35-years-old.
On Wednesday, the proud new granny shared a gorgeous black and white image of her 17-year-old daughter Kia holding her newborn daughter, Freya.
“So very proud of my oldest daughter, who did something I wasn’t able to ever do,” Ning wrote in her caption.
“Thank you for having me with you to witness the most incredible, beautiful and raw experience called childbirth. Watching your baby have a baby was an emotional experience for all of us, but you kicked a**e hunnay! Kia you are one tough cookie. Words can not describe how proud I am of you, you didn’t complain, not once you said you couldn’t do it. Not even one curse word. You did better then good mama.”
Ning finished her post off with the adorable hashtags “#nini #grandaughter #newarrival” and “#babyfeels.”
Needless to say, fans couldn’t help but remark on how young Ning is to be a grandmother.
“Sok di Pi Mai Ning. My cousin is called Nini too, congratulations to you and your family. I seriously thought you are 35 to be a grandmother? You look stunning for your age!” one penned.
“What a beautiful picture capturing the joy of child birth! P.s ur a hot grandma now!!” exclaimed another.
“Congratulations sweetheart it’s an incredible experience I was in with my my daughter & seen our previous grandson born ps @ning_sura85 you don’t look old enough to be a nanny,” remarked a third.
Just a day before the birth, Ning shared another photo of herself supporting Kia as she went through labour.
“She’s fighting contractions and I’m fighting all the excitement. No one really wins just yet… you got this hunnay🤰🏽#itwillbeworththewait #comeonbaby,” she captioned the snap.
During her time on MAFS, mum-of-three Ning explained why she’s so fiercely protective of her children.
Ning gave birth to Kia when she was 16 herself and left home at a young age. She then met the man she believed to be “the one,” but after becoming engaged and welcoming another two children together, now nine and five-years-old respectively, the relationship fell through.
These days, Ning has found love with her new boyfriend, Kane Micallef.
The couple met on Tinder and when the former reality TV bride first introduced Kane to her followers, many were quick to share their own online dating love stories.
“Tinder gets a bad wrap but it’s the best site for meeting ppl a lot of trash and a lot of treasure too,” one follower noted.
Back in 2019, Ning was paired with groom Mark Scrivens but their wedding wasn’t exactly a super romantic affair.
There was awkwardness, lack of chemistry and of course Ning’s iconic line: “I’m just here for the food and drink.”
Taking to Instagram as the season aired in the UK, Ning shared a still image of her and Mark’s TV nuptials with a typed caption across it of her food and drink comment.
“Airing in the UK! Still stand by this quote 🤣 thanks for all the beautiful and not so beautiful messages 😘,” she captioned the post, followed by the hashtags “#hatersgonnahate #imjusthereforthefood #wildride.”
