Manu Feildel has spent years winning over My Kitchen Rules fans with his French charm, sharp critiques and signature hair. But could the beloved chef have a famous doppelgänger hiding in plain sight?
One fan certainly thinks so, and they’ve come up with a rather unexpected comparison that we can’t say we saw coming.
It’s not another celebrity chef, a fellow TV personality or even someone from the food world. In fact, the person in question is about as far removed from an MKR dinner party as you can get.
The suggestion has since sparked a lively debate online, with fans weighing in on everything from facial hair and grooming habits to who they reckon is better looking.
Celebrity lookalike debates are nothing new, but it’s pretty entertaining to see just how invested people get in deciding whether two famous faces look alike. Especially when some fans seem to consider the comparison an outright insult to Manu.
So, who is this mystery lookalike, and are we seeing double or does one fan need to get their eyes checked?

So, who exactly has Manu been compared to? None other than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Taking to Reddit, one viewer asked, “Does anyone think that Manu looks a lot like the Ukrainian president Vladimir Zalenski? I can see the similarity. Anyone else?”
Well, they certainly got people talking. Whether they got the agreement they were hoping for is another story.
“Don’t insult Manu!” one person declared, while another suggested the original poster might need to visit Specsavers. That’s one way to shut down a lookalike theory!
Others were happy to weigh in on who they thought came out on top in the looks department, with one commenter declaring, “Zelenskyy is much better looking and in better shape!”
But plenty of fans weren’t having that.
“God no! Manu is so handsome and Zelenskyy is not even close to it,” another person wrote.
Interestingly, not everyone was completely against the comparison. One commenter could see similarities in their hair and facial hair, but wasn’t prepared to take things any further.
“Only his hair colour and shape of his beard. Apart from that there is no comparison in looks. Manu is much better looking,” they explained.
So, the beard gets a pass, but the rest? Apparently not.
Another fan suggested the resemblance might have been more obvious in the past, writing, “Maybe back in the day… However he is far too well groomed and coiffed these days.” We’re not sure whether that’s a compliment or a very specific critique of Manu’s grooming routine, but we’ll let him decide.

It’s fair to say the jury is still out on this one.
While some viewers can apparently spot a resemblance, others are firmly in the camp that Manu has no lookalike, celebrity or otherwise.
We can’t help wondering what Manu himself would make of the debate. He’s usually the one dishing out the critiques on MKR, so it would be fun to see him turn the tables and deliver his own verdict.
