After an intimate wedding ceremony in the Byron Bay hinterland on December 19, Margot Robbie, 26, and her new husband Tom Ackerley continued celebrations with a pool party at a luxury villa.
Close friends and family of the couple partied at the $2,000-a-night Bathhouse Newrybar where a source told WHO, “There were bikinis all round and a raucous game of pool volleyball. Super casual. Towels and Swimmers. Pool games. Snacks, nothing formal.”
The source added that the bash was ‘sooo loud’.
The vibe was just as relaxed in the lead up to the nuptials with Robbie kicking off her hen’s weekend on December 16 at Mermaid Beach’s Bam Bam Bakehouse.
The star and some close girlfriends had a “masterclass of pastry” said the owner Ursula Watts, who added that Robbie had a second party heavy on the baked goods on December 18 at a Gold Coast house.
“So the girls were here, where they got to hand make their doughs, shaping, filling, baking with lots of custards and cream fills. Then they got to sit and eat hot pastries.”
The Suicide Squad actress also reportedly gave some guests a permanent reminder of the occasion. In an Instagram story posted this week, Robbie can be seen tattooing the roman numerals for 19 on a friend’s forearm.
