Mariah Carey is giving fans a behind the scenes look at her life in her upcoming eight part E! docu-series.
In a new trailer, Carey, 46, gives full on diva as she explains her lavish lifestyle, and offers a peek into private moments with her 5-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.
“I don’t think anyone knows anything about me,” she says in one pat of the clip and she joins in on a prank phone call, showing the world a much goofier side than anyone’s used to.
Although the show is life through the singer’s lens, the songstress said she doesn’t consider it so much reality as she does a look at life on the road, as she travels to do her first tour in Europe in 10 years.
“I haven’t been on tour in Europe since at least 10 years ago when I was 10, so I was just like let’s just show the behind the scenes and what its really takes to do a tour,” she said during a TCA panel on Wednesday. “It’s my life and I thought why not document this now? We call it a docu-series because it feels like more of a documentary. I don’t watch reality … I don’t even know what reality is.”
Carey also said that although the series focuses primarily on her music and tour, family moments will be featured, including a possible cameo from ex-husband Nick Cannon, although she’s not sure what capacity everyone will appear, as she hasn’t seen final cuts.
“It’s difficult to say how much of anything will be there until a little further along,” she said. “[Nick] is cool about being on the show and very supportive. He came around, but I don’t know what makes the final cut.”
