Are Martha and Michael still together? We take a look at their history thus far!
Martha Kalifatidis hinted in a cryptic Instagram post last night that she might have left the show and her Married At First Sight Australia husband Michael Brunelli, but we have every reason to believe the couple are still together. Here’s why.
If you’ve been glued to your TV screen like we have watching MAFS like the rest of us, you’ll agree that Michael and Martha seem like one of the most loved up couples in the experiment – a hop and a skip behind Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant, obviously.
“I thought he was 10 years younger than me!” Martha told WHO on her first impression of her groom
“But honestly, he just had this really kind energy. I was actually really scared to ask Michael how old he was. [He had] these really kind eyes. And he was smiling. He was lovely.”
Martha also confirmed she had told Michael she loved him, “In a text, in bed.”
But the fairytale wedding appeared to have been shorted lived when WHO Magazine exclusively ran images of Martha, who has been likened to Kim Kardashian, partying in Los Angeles without her wedding ring with a mystery billionaire named ‘Ivar’ at Beverly Hills hotspot Wally’s Wine Bar. Martha, who is a makeup artist, was also seen outside LA hotspot Delilah with superstar Sam Smith.
Then Martha was spotted putting on an affectionate display Jessika Power’s, brother Rhys Power at Melbourne Fashion Festival – in a series of overly affectionate images which now appear to have been a bit of a publicity stunt.
Then, Martha was spotted making out with MAFS villain Ines Basic at a bar in Melbourne, while celebrating Ines‘s 29th birthday.
Despite the signs that the couple were spending no actual time together, Michael went to bat for Martha when former MAFS star Lauren Huntriss, who took Matthew Bennett’s virginity on the show, hit out at his ‘wife’ on Instagram.
Michael blocked Lauren who commented that the harsh move was because she simply didn’t “like” his bride.
Channel Nine reportedly shut the conversation down by deleting the original comment and turning the ‘comments’ section of the image off.
