On Tuesday, the first time mother-to-be took to Instagram to issue a lengthy apology where she stated that she falsely accused the owner of the Shoal Bay cafe of physical assault when it was really a customer.

“Around 9 June 2019 I published an Instagram post in which I stated that I had been the victim of a racist slur and physical assault,” Cyrell began.

“I wrongly alleged that the perpetrator of that conduct was the owner of the Pelican Cafe. I was wrong.”

“It was later that I found out that it was a customer of the cafe. Neither the owner of the cafe nor any of her staff had anything to do with the incident,” continued Cyrell.

“I understand that my Instagram post has caused serious damage to the Pelican cafe and I sincerely apologise to the owner and staff for this.”

Back in early June, shocking footage emerged of MAFS star Cyrell Paule being physically attacked in a Shoal Bay cafe.

The incident occurred while ‘Cyclone’ Cyrell was dining with her Love Island Australia baby daddy Eden Dally at the Pelican Cafe, located just a short trip out of Sydney.

At the time, the pair claimed that it was a racially motivated attack.

In a series of disturbing pictures and videos posted to social media, the Channel Nine reality contestant is seen being physically and verbally attacked by a woman whom Cyrell believed to be the owner of the cafe.

Cyrell followed up her pictures with an emotional clip, where she alleged she was on the receiving end of particularly heinous racial slurs, including being called a ‘black monkey‘: “And this lady, a restaurant owner… thought it would be hilarious while I’m walking down the street to turn around and call me a ‘f***ing black.”

Two days after the incident, the owner of the Pelican Cafe, Deborah, spoke with KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O to maintain that she had nothing to do with the attack on Cyrell

“It was a customer”, Deborah started be saying.

“My staff, which happened to be two of my daughters, we were in the kitchen. We noticed them walking past and a customer went from my shop outside to take photos.

“She got abused by them across the road,” Kyle then interjects, “Cyrell got abused?”

Deborah then claims that it was actually Cyrell who abused the photographer.

“No, no. Cyrell was having a go at the customer for taking a photo or videos.”

Deborah continued: “They (Cyrell and Eden) spotted the customer – who was outside at the time – and attacked her. Eden actually did at first.”

Jackie then seeks to clarify what actually happened: “So Eden attacked the customer who took the photo?”

“Yeah,” Deborah claims.

“And when you say attacked, how?” asks radio host Jackie.

“Like went up to her, pushed her, obviously the customer pushed back and then there were punches thrown. Cyrell was involved. I don’t know how much in that attack, but she was in it.”
