It was one of the most repugnant scandals in Married at First Sight history, with the revelation of Jessika and Dan’s sleazy affair reducing both Tamara and Mick to tears. But despite the traumatic scene, it seems that Dan just can’t let go, and has been showering Tamara with a string of messages off screen.

Appearing on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa show this morning, Tamara explained the reason for her tears, and what’s been happening since.

‘I was genuinely upset and it wasn’t because I was heartbroken,’ Tamara confessed. ‘It was what you didn’t see – week after week on the couch [sic] the experts and everybody were like “we love that you both have this mutual respect for each other”.

‘But I was just like clearly there was no respect, he doesn’t respect me.’

Tamara then dropped the bombshell that Dan has been trying to get in touch with her, despite his tacky betrayal.

‘I can’t sit here and say he’s a great guy or he’s not but Dan has had the decency to reach out to me after watching those episodes back,’ she says.

‘He has apologised to me numerous times, I have numerous texts from him saying “I’m so sorry, you’re an amazing human, I’m sorry I did that to you”.’

But it seems that Jessika is lacking those same feelings and sense of decency.

‘Jessika, on the other hand, I’ve not heard one peep, nothing,’ she says.

While the gossip mill is in overdrive about her own romantic situation now she is off the show, Tamara says she is not seeing Mick.

‘No! Mick and I are just really good friends, you guys. We just genuinely have good banter, we love having a drink and talking s**t basically.

Putting an end to any speculation that the show might have put her off love forever, Tamara ended the interview by revealing to Fitzy and Wippa that she is ‘single and ready to mingle!”’
