It’s safe to say Jake Edwards and Beck Zemek did not make a good match on Married At First Sight, but Jake has shared an adorable snap featuring his “real romance” from the dating show – but it’s not one of the girls!
Jake was of course referring to his bromance with co-star Patrick Dwyer and took to Instagram to share a cute picture of them together.
“The real romance from that show I was on,” the former mental health charity CEO captioned a photo of himself and Patrick on his Stories.
Patrick shared the same photo to his own Instagram account and captioned it: “Just 2 good mates with 2 new sets of teeth. #chompers.”
Fans commented on not only the MAFS grooms’ stunning new smiles but also on how their friendship lasted after the show.
“Two awesome genuine guys,” one remarked.
“You two were amazing on the show anyway,” another penned.
“Love the bromance,” a third noted.
Jake’s relationship with his on-screen wife, however, wasn’t exactly the stuff of fairytales.
After a lot of ups and downs, at the finale Beck was exposed for kissing a mystery man who she said was her “brother” after footage of the kiss was played in front of the contestants.
However, Beck later confessed to cheating…sort of.
“I do consider it to an extent cheating. But do I think cheating like that is a hard boundary that should end a relationship? No, I don’t.”
“Jake and I weren’t obviously broken up at time, however, at the time that it did happen, I had written leave… I think it was 12 hours before that kiss,” she added.

She added: “And I know that my mental health and my state at that time was absolutely sh*t. And I can only try to forgive myself each day for what I did, because I still hurt Jake and that’s the most important part of it to me. However, I think our boundaries at the time weren’t where they needed to be.”
“In my mind at the time, I didn’t even think I was cheating on Jake. If anyone sees it that way, I’m happy to take it on board, but I know I stuck to my happiness and my truth. It’s not like I was having a sexual relationship with Jake and had someone on the side. Jake was very aware of how I was feeling about him at that moment.”
