For a moment there, it appeared Jules Robinson was taking a swipe at fellow Married at First Sight co-star Martha Kalifatidis.
The fan favourite MAFS contestant— who attended TV Week’s Gold Logie awards with boyfriend Cameron Merchant— shared a photo to her Instagram Story from Sunday night’s ceremony with the caption, “Step on my dress and I will elbow you!”
Her snide remark comes after Martha was embroiled in a bitter scandal with Sunrise hosts Samantha Armytage and David Koch following an awkward run-in at the Logies. The controversial star was discussed at length on an episode of Sunrise, following Kochie’s claims Martha elbowed him in the ribs while desperately fighting to get her face in front of the camera while posing on the red carpet.
Due to the very public scandal and Jules’ reference to elbows, many MAFS viewers— who are aware of the pair’s rocky history— believed she was intentionally reigniting their feud.
After copping backlash from a follower for taking what appeared to be an unnecessary shot at Martha, Jules not only clarified that the caption had nothing to do with the makeup artist but rushed to her defence.
“Petty. I thought you’d be more mature than that. Disappointing,” one user wrote in an Instagram DM.
“If you’re talking about Martha. It didn’t even cross my mind. The story is a load of crap. As if she would do that! It’s all untrue,” Jules began before explaining there’s no bad blood between the pair. “As most things you read. It’s about my photo. I was having a laugh. Disappointing I can’t even have a laugh at my self and then have you write this.”
On Monday morning, the Sunrise panel unexpectedly slammed Martha for the snub at the Gold Logies.
“I’ve still got bruises in the ribs from the Married At First Sight woman who elbowed me on the way through on the red carpet,’ co-host Kochie said on a segment of the breakfast program. “Do not get between Martha and the camera,” Channel Seven sports reporter Mark Beretta replied, to which Sam responded, “Especially when you’ve only got 15 minutes of fame.”

After watching the segment, Martha took to her YouTube channel to explain she was deeply offended by their accusation, branding the Sunrise stars as “bullies“.
“Sam continued to make fun of me, a woman in the industry that I’m meant to look up to. Sam, you have singlehandedly incited online hate towards me,” said Martha, who’s still dating her on-screen “husband” Michael Brunelli. “Just when I had built myself back up after the tumultuous time on MAFS, you brought it all crashing down. Kochie, you are a father, yet you felt it necessary to shame me on TV. You felt it was OK to criticise me, call me short and turn what may have been an accidental bump on the arm into something scandalous. You’re the bullies!”
