Masterchef judges slammed for showing ‘favouritism’ towards the three blonde female contestants

After enduring and winning an arduous high-stakes challenge on Monday night’s episode of Masterchef Australia, the “blonde squad”— Christina Laker, 29, Nicole Scott, 24 and Tessa Boersma, 27— secured their chance of advancing to the finals.

But while they were relieved to have come out on top, many fans of the Channel 10 cooking show took exception to their win, arguing there may have been ‘favouritism’ shown by judges Matt Preston, George Colombaris and Gary Mehigan.

“The four middle aged guys picked the two bottle blondes… shocked,” one angry social media user wrote. “ONCE AGAIN all the blondes are safe,” another added, using a gif of Kim Kardashian rolling her eyes.

“Looking forward to two bottle blondes getting booted… favouritism is annoying. Please do better next season,” another angry fan said. “The blondes again! This is beyond rigged!” 

“Time to get the blonde dye out Anushka. Only chance you’ve got, lovely,” another viewer chimed in, referring to brunette contestant Anushka Zargaryan.

Last night‘s episode saw the contestants challenged with cooking a five-course meal at one of Perth’s most famous restaurants, Wildflower.
