It was a dish with 31 ingredients and 45 steps that sent this lovable MasterChef Australia contestant home on Monday night’s episode.

Dee Williams, an office manager from Victoria lost the chance to move forward in the competition, after her take on celebrity chef Darren Purchese’s Baked Alaska dessert failed to completely win over the judges.
“Today, you demonstrated not only to yourself and your family, but every single Aussie out there to never give up,” George Calombaris told the 37-year-old, who tearfully stood alongside Nicole Scott and Yossra Abouelfadl in the elimination round.
Dee, who moved to Oz from Sri Lanka in 2007, says she’ll continue her food dream of starting her own cooking school inspired by the dishes of her homeland, despite bowing out in 24th spot.
“It is sad that I didn’t get to stay in the competition for a long time,” she told viewers before making an exciting promise.
“My cooking dream, I’m gonna fight hard for it. Today proved to me that I can do it.”
