For MasterChef Australia fans, there is nothing better than a feel-good love story—and it doesn’t get much better than two fan-favourite contestants finding love on the show and welcoming adorable twin girls into the world.

We are, of course, referring to Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary. The talented chefs fell in love during their time on last year’s Back to Win season, ultimately welcoming their daughters, Claudia and Charlotte, just before Christmas.

Now, the happy pair and their beautiful bubs are set to make a highly anticipated appearance on MasterChef this Sunday night, and fans are absolutely thrilled for the family of four.

“Love love love that we’ll get to see Sarah and Declan and their lil bebes!” one fan wrote on Reddit.

“I am so excited to see beloved Sarah and Declan again and the babies for the first time,” another added on Instagram.

“OMG these babies are so cute,” wrote a third, while someone else wrote that the girls are “mini” versions of their mum.

Others quipped that the episode would be “more exciting” than Meghan Markle’s upcoming one.

‘Full circle’ moment for Sarah and Declan

Speaking exclusively to WHO about stepping back into the famous kitchen, the couple opened up about how emotional the experience was.

“It was incredibly special,” they said. “So much of our story started there, and returning with our girls felt very full circle.”

While the twins were still tiny during filming, the couple noted that they were completely unfazed by the cameras.

“They loved all the lights and activity”, Sarah and Declan laughed. “They were taking everything in while we were busy feeling nostalgic.”

They added, “It brought back a lot of great memories. The kitchen still has the same energy and excitement we remembered.”

The MasterChef stars Declan and Sarah would trust to babysit

When asked which of their former competitors or judges they would trust to look after the twins, Sarah and Declan joked that judge Andy Allen would be one of the top people on the list.

“Now that he’s a dad himself, Andy would be one of the top people,” they quipped. “But we’d trust quite a few MasterChef alumni—though we know they’d keep the girls well fed!”

Asking them when they each knew that what they had was a forever kind of love, the pair told us that it wasn’t love at first sight, but rather a slow burn.

“There wasn’t one moment,” they shared. “Our friendship grew naturally, and eventually we realised we wanted to build a life together outside the competition.”

As for how life as parents to identical twins has influenced their time in the kitchen? Their approach to food has undergone a major shift.

“Our cooking styles are a lot more practical now,” they revealed. “We still love cooking, but lots of delicious family meals have become the priority.”
