In devastating news, Miley Cyrus’ beloved pig, commonly known as Pig Pig, has passed away.
The “Mother’s Daughter” singer, 36, took to Instagram to announce the news, sharing a touching tribute to the beautiful animal.

“Very sad to say… my dear friend Pig Pig has passed away…. I will miss u always,” Miley wrote. “Thank you for so many laughs and good times girl”.
“I will miss you Pig Pig” she captioned another photo of Pig Pig as a piglet.

Although the Black Mirror star has other pets to help heal her broken heart, she’s always had a special bond with Pig Pig. Two years ago, Miley— who’s married to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth— declined to tour the world so she could stay at home with her pigs.
“Literally the only reason I’m not touring is because of those f***ing pigs,” she told Howard Stern. “That’s how much I love those pigs.”

Before the Woosley fires took Miley and Liam’s Malibu home in December 2018, the singer said her husband left some of their belongings behind so they could save their pets.
“He was so incredible — he got all the animals out in his truck. He put two pigs in crates, which I tell you is so hard,” she said on Jimmy Fallon’s show. “And Liam was an amazing hero,” she explained. “He got out all the horses, the pigs, seven dogs, four cats. His truck was [filled]. It was really sexy to me.”
She continued: “He put two pigs in crates, which I tell you is so hard … I said, ‘How did you get them out,’ and he said, ‘The only thing I could do was get a really powerful hose and spray them in the ass,’ so he just chased the pigs into a crate which was genius. … “Liam, I’ve never loved him more for this.”
Miley adopted the bristly animal back in 2014, three months after the death of her beloved pet dog, Floyd. The animal lover is still mum to her seven dogs, four horses and three cats. Liam’s pet dog also lives with the couple.
