Miley Cyrus is shutting down rumours she’s split from her husband Liam Hemsworth once and for all. The singer, who tied the knot with the Australian actor in December 2018, has opened up about her complex relationship, revealing she’s well aware she doesn’t “fit into a stereotypical wife role”.

“I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married. But my relationship is unique,” Miley told Elle USA for its August 2019 cover story.
After being publically shamed for openly admitting she’s also “very attracted to women” the Black Mirror star said she prefers to keep her relationship with The Hunger Games actor private.
“I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women. I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it,” she said. “I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a f***ing apron cooking dinner? I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women.”
As for growing their family, the 26-year-old said the loved-up couple have discussed the prospect of having children, however, the unfair societal pressure women face to reproduce deters her.
“If you don’t want children, people feel sorry for you, like you’re a cold, heartless b**ch who’s not capable of love,” she says of the expectation put on the female sex. “We’re expected to keep the planet populated. And when that isn’t a part of our plan or our purpose, there is so much judgment and anger that they try to make and change laws to force it upon you—even if you become pregnant in a violent situation. Why are we trained that love means putting yourself second and those you love first? If you love yourself, then what? You come first.”
She continued: “We’ve been doing the same thing to the earth that we do to women. We just take and take and expect it to keep producing. And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce. We’re getting handed a piece-of-s**t planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child. Until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water, I’m not bringing in another person to deal with that. ”
Miley’s honest confessions about her marriage come weeks after rumours began circulating that the couple— who met on the set of the movie, The Last Song in 2010— had split. After they were caught arguing in public and she later ranted while on stage that she was “f***ing sick of men”, fans of the American singer were convinced they’d gone their separate ways.
The former Disney star later hit back at the speculation, revealing her comment on stage was “politically directed”.
