Now that Miley Cyrus’s whirlwind romance with Kaitlynn Carter is officially done and dusted, it looks as though the “Slide Away” singer has already moved on with another celebrity— who just so happens to be a famous Aussie singer.
According to E! News, the former Disney star was just spotted kissing none other than Cody Simpson. Yeah, you know, that guy who used to sing “All Day“… Aka your favourite song when you were 12!

While grabbing a drink and some sushi, an onlooker told the outlet that the pair shared a “quick kiss”, however, rushed out of the restaurant after realising that everyone around them was trying to take a sneaky picture!
While the kiss definitely comes as a shock considering sources close to the star recently claimed she wants to be single, Cody and Miley have actually been close friends for some time now!
In 2014, while Miley was dating Patrick Schwarzenegger, the Aussie star joined the couple for a group trip to Miami. The “Wrecking Ball” songstress also attended Cody’s 18th birthday bash alongside Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid (who Cody was dating at the time).
“Miley is one of my best friends and she helps with some of that transitional stuff—trying to escape your childhood,” Cody said back in 2015. “She’s super open-minded and I’m working on becoming more like that.”
The possible new romance comes less than a week after Miley and Kaitlynn Carter called time on their one-month-long relationship. Although sources claim they’re still good friends, the 26-year-old is no longer on good terms with her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth’s famous family. According to Radar Online, the Hunger Games actor’s brother Chris and his wife Elsa Pataky are fed up with the way their former sister-in-law has been treating Liam.
The Thor star is so infuriated with Miley’s post-split behaviour, he’s even issued a stern warning, begging her to stop “playing games” with his younger brother’s heart.
“They are the ones picking up the pieces,” a source close to the situation told the outlet. “And they’ll happily do anything to protect Liam, including shutting Miley out of Liam’s life.”
As he deals with the fallout from his acrimonious split with Miley, Chris and Elsa have been rallying around Liam and showing their support as the actor navigates his way through this difficult period.
Since the former couple went public with their breakup, Liam moved back to Byron Bay where he’s been spotted on numerous occasions surfing and hanging with his family at their local beach. A source close to the Hunger Games actor— who found out Miley had dumped him via Instagram— recently revealed that Liam plans to permanently move back to Australia.
“He’ll still come to LA to do business and shoot movies, but this whole experience has really reinforced to Liam that Hollywood’s not for him in the long term,” the insider told Radar Online.
