Netflix subscribers have been flocking to Happy Gilmore 2 to relive one of Adam Sandler’s most iconic roles. Following the original film, released in 1996, Adam reprised his role as the titular Happy — a hockey player turned golfer who, against the odds, goes pro.
Like the first film, the second movie is full of cameos, particularly from the golfing and sports worlds. However, given the power and nostalgia of the original, it’s no surprise today’s celebrities couldn’t wait to sign on for a special appearance.
From Travis Kelce to Post Malone, and Adam’s real-life daughters, here’s your guide to who had a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2.

Travis Kelce, the waiter

One of the most talked about cameos in Happy Gilmore 2 came from NFL player Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end took on the role of a waiter and the tyrannical boss of Bad Bunny’s character. Travis has called the opportunity “surreal”.
Of course, Travis is known to many as the boyfriend of Taylor Swift. Swift threw her support behind the film by posting to Instagram stories, “Happy Gilmore 2 had me cackling and cheering the whole movie! An absolute must watch, 13/10, go watch it on [Netflix] as soon as humanly possible.” She finished the post with a honey jar emoji—a nod to one of Travis’ most notable scenes in the film.
If you’re familiar with the Kelce sporting dynasty, you might also see Travis’ dad, Ed, in the background of several shots in Happy Gilmore 2 as a gold jacket winner.
Bad Bunny, Happy Gilmore’s caddy, Oscar

The breakout star of Happy Gilmore 2 is undeniably Puerto Rican musician, Bad Bunny. Less a cameo, more of a starring role, Bad Bunny—whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio—plays Happy’s caddy, Oscar.
On his podcast New Heights, Travis Kelce spoke about working with Bad Bunny on Happy Gilmore 2. “Looking at Bad Bunny [in a scene] is hilarious. Baddy Bunny is naturally funny as f***,” Travis said. “People are going to find out how funny he is in Happy Gilmore 2.”
Like Travis, Bad Bunny is no stranger to high-profile relationships, having previously dated Kendall Jenner.
Marcello Hernandez, Oscar’s cousin, Esteban

You may recognise Oscar’s cousin, Esteban, as Saturday Night Live comedian Marcello Hernandez. Marcello is perhaps most famous for his SNL character Domingo.
Eminem, heckler, Donald Jr

Fans of the original Happy Gilmore will remember a heckler played by the late Joe Flaherty. His character, Donald, was hired to yell “jackass” at Happy when he took a shot. This concept is revived in Happy Gilmore 2, with rapper Eminem taking the role of Donald’s son, Donald Jr. Following in his ‘dad’s’ footsteps, Donald Jr. continues to heckle Happy during his comeback. The rapper is barely recognisable under a bucket hat and lush brown wig and beard.
If you think the celebrity cameo is surprising, one only need to look back to 2009, when Adam and Eminem shared a scene in the film Funny People.
Margaret Qualley, amateur golfer, Sally

Fresh from her critically acclaimed turn in The Substance, Margaret Qualley made a cameo appearance in Happy Gilmore 2 as an amateur golfer. She forms part of a young trio who find themselves golfing with Happy toward the start of the film. The 20-somethings mock the ‘old’ golfer before realising he’s former pro, Happy Gilmore. Margaret is the daughter of actress and model Andie Macdowell.
Eric André, amateur golfer, Steiner

Comedian Eric André appears alongside Margaret Qualley in the early scene at the amateur golf course.
Martin Herlihy, amateur golfer, Fitzy

Rounding out the group of hobby golfers is comedian Martin Herlihy. Martin is a comedian best known as one third of the ‘Please Don’t Destroy’ comedy trio. Die-hard Adam Sandler fans will know Martin’s father, Tim Herlihy, as a long-time Sandler collaborator.
Post Malone, DJ Omar Gosh

Recognise the celebrity DJ in Happy Gilmore 2? That’s Post Malone. Donning a bushy beard and a eccentric Cowboy attire, Post appears towards the end of the film as a fictional celebrity guest in the commentator’s room, DJ Omar Gosh.
Alix Earle, herself

You might have heard that content creator and podcast Alix Earle has a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2. If you’re wondering who she plays, the answer is herself! Speaking with People, Alix said one of Adam’s two daughters suggested she appear in the film—but she didn’t know which one! “Later in the night [at the premiere], once everyone gets settled, I’m going to be like, ‘So, which one of you do I owe my life to?’,” she joked.
Steve Buscemi, the neighbour

Steve Buscemi is another actor who makes regular cameos in Adam Sandler films. Following appearances in The Wedding Singer and Billy Madison (among many others), Steve returns to Happy Gilmore as Happy’s eclectic dancing neighbour.
Haley Joel Osment, Billy Jenkins

It’s been over 25 years since Haley Joel Osment rose to fame as the kid in The Sixth Sense. In Happy Gilmore 2, Haley plays a competitive golfer who has undergone surgery to help his chances in the tournament.
Ben Stiller, Hal

In Happy Gilmore 2, Ben Stiller reprises his role as nursing home worker Hal from the original Happy Gilmore film. Ben Stiller’s daughters, Ella and Quinn, also have roles in Happy Gilmore 2. Ella plays a bottle shop cashier and Quinn is a caddy.
Benny Safdie, Frank Manatee

If you’re trying to recognise who plays the eye-patched villain in Happy Gilmore, Frank Manatee, that’s Benny Safdie. Fans will know Benny as one half of the Safdie brothers, who wrote and directed the film, Uncut Gems.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Happy Gilmore’s son, Gordie

There’s a reason Happy’s eldest son, Gordie, cuts quite the bulky figure—and it’s because he’s played by professional wrestler Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
Tim Herlihy, Dr Hertz

Tim Herlihy and Adam Sandler have been friends and collaborators since college, where they were roommates. Tim has written for almost all of Sandler’s most well-known films (Billy Madison, Big Daddy, The Wedding Singer—you name it), and usually has a cameo in each. In Happy Gilmore 2, Tim has a bit part as Dr Hertz.
John Farley, Nate

Speaking of Adam’s frequent collaborators and their family, some might recognise the actor playing Nate. That would be John Farley, the youngest brother of Chris Farley—Adam Sandler’s friend and fellow comedian. Chris Farley and Adam were on Saturday Night Live together, and Chris famously played the bus driver in Billy Madison. Chris passed away in 1997.
John Farley also appeared in Adam’s flicks Little Nicky and Don’t Mess With The Zohan.
Verne Lundquist, as himself

Legendary real-life sports commentator Verne Lundquist plays a version of himself in Happy Gilmore 2.
Boban Marjanovic, Drago Larson

NBA player Boban Marjanovic appeared in Happy Gilmore 2 as Drago Larson, the son of gentle giant Larson from the original Happy Gilmore film. Larson was Happy’s boss, played memorably by 7ft actor Richard Kiel. Richard passed away in 2014.
Judy Sandler, Drago’s mum

Starting the string of Sandler family cameos is Adam Sandler’s mum, Judith (or Judy). She plays the mother of Drago Larson (Boban Marjanovic) in Happy Gilmore 2.
Sunny Sandler, Vienna Gilmore

Adam Sandler’s real life daughter Sunny Sandler plays the role of his on-screen daughter, Vienna, in Happy Gilmore 2. Sunny, 16, is the youngest of Sandler’s two daughters
Sadie Sandler, Charlotte

Adam Sandler’s eldest daughter, Sadie, 19, plays Charlotte in Happy Gilmore 2, Happy’s friend at the alcoholics treatment facility.
Jackie Sandler, Monica

Vienna’s ballet teacher Monica in Happy Gilmore 2 is played by Adam Sandler’s real-life wife, Jackie Sandler.
