Is Knives Out 3 Happening?

Yes, Knives Out 3 is officially happening! Rian Johnson has confirmed that the third film in the franchise is in the works, with Daniel Craig once again stepping into the shoes of the iconic detective Benoit Blanc. The Knives Out series has been a massive hit, known for its twisty plots and all-star ensembles, and this third entry promises to deliver more of the same.

A new addition to the series comes as no surprise for the hit franchise. The first Knives Out film made $471 million at the box office and Netflix acquired the rights for two more movies for about $700 million.

Is Knives Out Part of a Trilogy?

While the Knives Out films aren’t necessarily tied together by a single overarching story, the third film will complete what many are considering a trilogy, at least in terms of the Netflix deal. Each movie features a new mystery for Blanc to solve, set against a fresh backdrop with a new cast of characters. So while the films are connected by Blanc’s detective work, each stands alone as a unique entry in the series.

Is Tom Hardy in Knives Out 3?

Despite early rumours and much excitement, it seems that Tom Hardy won’t be joining the cast of Knives Out 3. When the cast announcements started rolling in, many hoped to see Hardy’s name on the list, but it looks like those hopes won’t materialize.

The confirmed cast, however, is still packed with talent, featuring Josh O’Connor, Josh Brolin, Andrew Scott, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Thomas Haden Church, and Cailee Spaeny

From these on-set pictures from the final days of shooting, Knives Out 3 boasts three! Josh O’Connor and Josh Brolin are the new hot priests on the block – and no doubt they’re taking tips from co-star Andrew Scott, who set hearts fluttering as The Priest in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s hugely popular Fleabag.
