The professional chef posted a series of photos with his fiance by the water, adding the caption:
“Had a pretty eventful weekend. Became the happiest man in the world. #engaged #wedding#threemilelaketolakecomo #love#perfect #putaringonit” Tyson wrote in the caption.
Tyson’s sister, Amy Murr —who was his co-contestant on My Kitchen Rules —commented on the photo, “Incredibly happy for you both! Can’t wait to have [Kennie] as my sister-in-law!”
The couple has been public since July last year when Kennie was first seen on Tyson’s Instagram account.
Tyson and Kennie live in Ontario, where Tyson works as a sous chef for The Bauer Kitchen restaurant in Waterloo.
Following his MKR win in 2017, Tyson turned his passion into a career by ditching his Uber driver job to become a professional chef.
In November 2017, the TV contestant shared his certificate of completion on Instagram.
“It’s official – I’m a chef!! I’ve been working really hard this past year to follow my dreams and become a qualified chef and today there’s proof in the pudding,” he wrote in the caption.
At the time, Tyson thanked multiple people, including his sister and fellow-winner, Amy.
“To the best big sister @amyjeanmurr, we started this journey together on @mykitchenrules and I wouldn’t have done it with anyone else. Thanks for bossing me and encouraging me in equal measures!”
Tyson also gave a shout out to MKR judges Pete Evans and Manu Feildel and fellow contestants Tim and Kyle, Valerie and Courtney, Della and Tully and Karen and Ros.
According to a New Idea exclusive, Tyson was dating fellow contestant Della Muscat while on the Channel 7 show.
Despite having long-term partners at the time, the reality TV stars secretly started an intimate affair during the filming of the hit cooking show.
“It was pretty obvious they liked each other,” New Idea’s source confirmed. “But Della was married and Tyson had a partner of six years, so when they slipped off together, it was pretty shocking to everyone else.”
The publication also said that mother-of-one Della relocated to Brisbane to be closer to her beau while he was working at the Hotel WestEnd in Brisbane.
However, it seems the relationship didn’t last long, with Tyson moving to Canada and finding love with his new fiance, Kennie.
