Things went from bad to worse for Piper after she and teammate Veronica were eliminated from My Kitchen Rules tonight.
The beauty queen became the centre of controversy when it was revealed she had strategically scored in an attempt to save her secret lover Victor from elimination.
However, things backfired for the 35-year-old who was left caught out in a string of lies during the Ultimate Instant Restaurant rounds.
While Piper and Veronica were sent home on tonight’s show, narrowly missing the finals, New Idea can exclusively reveal the mum of two and MKR romance Victor have called it quits.
“We weren’t ever dating, we were never anything like that,” Piper tells New Idea.
“It was mutually just we were very, very, very close friends. I don’t have anything bad to say about him at all.
“It’s not that it didn’t work out. We sort of kind of set that guideline from the beginning. We knew that he was in Melbourne, I was in Sydney. I live a completely different life than him. I’m a mum with two kids. He’s a single guy, no kids, living in another state. It just was what it was and I think we both just really valued that friendship and bond that we had during the show and we’re still friends.”
According to Piper, the pair are “still friends” and she appreciates the relationship for what it was at the time.
“We’re still friends, we’re still in contact, but as for relationship, it was just never going to go down that road,” she admits.
“I think it’s really nice that you had that while the show was on.”
