Netflix series Riverdale has taking it’s drama to a whole new level, adding a supernatural element to the second episode of Season 3.
We encountered a new character, ‘The Gargoyle King’ – which has left many viewers slightly confused and not sure how to feel.
But one thing we couldn’t help but notice, is how eerily similar the Gargoyle King looked to the series’ other villian – Hiram Lodge.
While few details have been revealed about the show’s new villain, Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Us Weekly that he’s aware of the similarities.
He also let it slip that “the Gargoyle King is most probably a guy in a mask.”
Does this mean that someone else on the show could be the Gargoyle King?
Once you get past the supernatural element, it doesn’t seem all that far-fetched – especially after Hal Cooper was unmasked as the infamous Black Hood.
But we may have to wait a bit longer to find out.
Either way, we can’t wait to watch the next episode tonight!
