We’re all waiting with bated breath for the arrival of February 3, when the new season of Married At First Sight hits screens and we all get our fill of ultimate wife-swapping, tea-spilling, jaw-dropping D-R-A-M-A.
But until then, just to hold us over, Channel 9 has dished out a delightful little Christmas gift: an extended trailer giving us a glimpse of what exactly the show holds in store in the next decade.
From daughters begging their mum not to do it to one bride-to-be whose loved ones laugh in her face, not to mention a contestant whose dad doesn’t show up on the big day, we can already tell that this season will be one to watch from day dot.
But it’s the return of Elizabeth Sobinoff that has us most excited for MAFS 2020!
WHO confirmed in October that Elizabeth is being given another shot at love on the show after her disastrous relationship with Sam Ball last season saw her being brutally fat-shamed on her wedding day.
This time around, she’s playing for keeps – and sporting a fresh new look with brunette tresses.
“I’m back!” she says with a smile, adding, “I’m going to get the love that I deserve.”
But the reality star doesn’t look too confident, as she crosses her fingers and winces.
As we wait with bated breath for the upcoming season to hit our screens, a cheeky insider did us a solid and revealed the identity of Elizabeth’s TV husband.
According to the Daily Mail’s source, the former MAFS star— who’s rejoining the controversial experiment as season seven’s intruder — is set to meet Aussie AFL player, Seb Guilhaus, at the altar.
While little is known about their connection, Elizabeth hinted recently that there’s already trouble in paradise.
Taking to Instagram, the 28-year-old subtly hinted she’d fallen out with her groom when she shared a photo of herself holding a teacup with the caption, “I need a refreshment with a side of harmony, peace and rejuvenation.”
Another exciting development on the cards for the 2020 season is the introduction of a same-sex couple (finally!).
MAFS New Zealand featured a same-sex pairing in 2016, but this will be Australia’s first since same-sex marriage laws were passed in 2017.
