*Spoilers ahead*
If you’re a fan of Heated Rivalry (who isn’t?) then we have some good news for you!
Rachel Reid, author of the best-selling queer books turned television series, has announced that a third book is en route.
UNRIVALED will mark the finale in the series of books that follow the love story between Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander.
If you’re as excited as us about this, then keep reading to find out more:
What is the third Heated Rivalry book about?

In the third and final book, the hockey players turned lovers will have “nothing to hide” for the first time.
As per Barnes & Nobel’s description UNRIVALED: “For more than a decade, they kept their love a secret, but now they’re out, married, and even playing on the same team. The support is incredible. Most of the time,”
“They’ve gotten a lot of love from fans who are thrilled for them. But some people in the hockey world are still reeling from their relationship reveal, and the backlash—led by popular hockey podcast Top Shelf and the #TakeBackHockey movement—is getting louder.”
The countdown is on!
When is UNRIVALED out?

Rachel must be writing fast as the book is set for release this fall.
Get your highlighter out and mark your calendar for September 29, 2026!
Will it be adapted to screen?

Although they haven’t come out and said yes publicly, lead stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams’ contract takes them through three seasons… and this is conveniently the third book in their series.
What’s the order of the Game Changers books?

Although Rachel Reid has written seven books based on queer hockey romances, only two (soon to be three) of them focus on Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander’s love story: Heated Rivalry and The Long Game.
Here is a list of the others, in case you need more horny drama:
Game Changer
Tough Guy
Common Goal
Role Model
