Kim Kardashian has shared a loving tribute to her eldest child North West to mark her seventh birthday, featuring some adorable photos and videos from the family archives.
Taking to Instagram, Kim shared a selection of photos and videos of North over the years.
These included one snap of North posing with a parasol, a pic of Kim and husband Kanye West at North’s mermaid-themed third birthday party and some clips of the cheeky eldest West child singing for the camera.
“Happy 7th Birthday to my first born baby North! I can’t believe you are 7. Crazy how time has flown by so fast like this!” Kim captioned her post.
“You are everything and more than I ever dreamed of! The most stylist creative Gemini performer ever! I love you to your alien planet and back! “
Kim’s fans posted their own birthday wishes for North in the comments section.
“Northy!!! Happy Birthday you style queen,” one wrote.
“She’s the BEST!!!!” penned another.
North West is Kim and Kanye’s eldest child – they are also proud parents to Saint, four, Chicago, two, and one-year-old Psalm, but it seems North is her daddy’s little girl.
When Kanye interviewed her for a spread in Vogue Arabia, Kim said to her husband, “North is your twin, she is so creative, expressive, and has so much of your personality.”
Speaking on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan, Kim shared how they landed on North’s unique name that made headlines back when she was born in 2013.
“When North was born, I know that North West is a very unique name,” she explained to hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest.
“Well, all my kids’ names are very unique, but I didn’t name her for maybe three or four days. I looked at her and I said a prayer with her. I was like, ‘I pray to God you can handle your name. I hope you are this name that I’m choosing.’ I mean, it was really emotional for me.”
Kim added that the name North felt “right” for her firstborn because “you can’t go higher than North.”
“She’s so her name. There would be no other name for my baby but North.”
North’s grandmother Kris Jenner also shared her own birthday message along with a series of photos featuring the seven-year-old.
“Happy Birthday to my beautiful granddaughter Northie!!!!” the momager wrote.
“From the very first moment we met on the day you were born, you have brought all of us so much happiness and joy!! You are so creative and talented and funny and kind and you have the biggest best heart… what a blessing you are Northie. I love you to the moon and back and cherish every moment we get to be together.”
Kris is a grandmother of 10 kids – her daughter Kendall is the only one of her six children who does not have her own child.
