Guess what, actress Danielle Brooks is expecting her first child!
After teasing she had some “exciting news to share” on Instagram, the 29-year-old Orange is the New Black star partnered with Clearblue brand pregnancy tests to finally reveal she’s going to be a mum.
“So elated to finally share this news with you all. I’m happily pregnant!” said Danielle who stars as Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson on the Netflix original series.
In another snap shared to her Instagram Story, Danielle showed off her bulging baby bump, revealing she’s into her pregnancy and “counting my blessings”.
“When one chapter ends, another begins. Super excited to share with you my new beginning. I’M PREGNANT,” she wrote.
While Danielle is notoriously private about her love life, in 2018 the actress— who stars alongside Taylor Schilling and Jason Biggs in OITNB— revealed she was off the market by debuting her new beau on Instagram. The mum-to-be also posted a beautiful photo of the pair on Valentines Day, revealing what they have is “true love”.
True love is when your partner agrees to wear a hairnet to ride go-carts. ❤️ #valentinesday Love you D,” she wrote.
Since her pregnancy announcement, she hasn’t confirmed whether he’s the father of her child.
The final season of OITNB wrapped up filming in late February.
“My heart is full and achey and so overflowing with gratitude I’m a little dizzy,” series star Taylor Schilling wrote. “These extraordinary people have forever changed me. Privilege of a lifetime.
With lots of hugs, laughter and tears, the new trailer for the prison drama series seems to suggest a positive ending to Netflix hit.
