It’s not often when Osher Günsberg shares a photo of his entire family, but to mark the silly season the Bachelor and Bachelorette host delighted fans with a joyous Santa photo.

On Tuesday, the proud dad, 46, shared a photo of himself, wife Audrey Griffen, stepdaughter Georgia and baby son Wolfie posing with Santa Claus – socially distanced of course.

“Santa looks like he’s being a very good boy for the photo,” Osher joked in the caption.

“Merry Xmas from our family to yours, however far apart you are. PS we took this photo last week. PPS hope you make the best of your Xmas however you spend it xx.”

Fans were quick to send their festive greetings to the family, but many couldn’t help but notice that Osher appeared to have endured a mystery injury and was using crutches.

“Merry Christmas to your family. Have you hurt yourself?” one questioned.

“Crutches? Merry Christmas,” penned another.

Others however referred to Osher’s “recovery” and shared messages for him to get well soon.

“Hey Osher hope that you’re recovering well after the op. I just discovered your podcast late this year and I wanted to say thanks for sharing your story so honestly,” one wrote, adding: “It has been so reassuring and inspiring to hear someone grappling with how to balance the joy and sorrow of being a human on the planet right now. Hope you all have a happy, healthy and peace-filled Christmas.”

Speaking on his podcast Better Than Yesterday, Osher revealed on Friday that he’d undergone hip replacement surgery related to arthritis.

“There’s not a massive complication but there’s some swelling under the site of the incision. Not infected – I’ve been checked over for that,” he confirmed.

“It’s pretty painful so I can’t do the rehab that I need to do to get the joint all mobilised and start getting strength back and being able to move around properly.”

The TV personality added that as a very active person he’s found not working out to be a struggle but has enjoyed some gentle exercise with his family.

“What I am really enjoying is that in between Wolf’s bath time and bedtime, Audrey’s putting him in the baby trolley and she’s taking me for a walk around the block which is nice. I go for a walk with my wife every day and look at the birds eating their dinner – it’s really nice.”

Family most definitely comes first for Osher and the TV star and doesn’t have any specific career plans for the future.

“As long as I can keep paying the mortgage and the school fees doing something I love, I’ll consider myself the luckiest man alive,” he told TV WEEK in October.

Osher added that if there’s one thing he’s learnt from the global COVID crisis this year, it’s that “everything can change tomorrow”.

“So the only thing we can really do is try to enjoy today and try to be as present as possible.”
