Calling all Pogues! Season three of Outer Banks is on its way – so it looks like 2023 is going to be our year after all.

That’s right, everyone’s favourite mystery teen drama is headed back to Netflix… and it’s sooner than you may have thought.
From the plot, cast, and release date, here’s everything we know about Outer Banks season three.
Who is the cast of Outer Banks season 3?
Most of the original cast is making a comeback, including Chase Stokes as John B, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Rudy Pankow as JJ, Austin North as Topper, Charles Esten as Ward Cameron, and Drew Starkey as Rafe Cameron.
Carlacia Grant, who played Cleo in season two of the popular show, is also now a series regular, according to Deadline.
We can expect to see some new faces in the Outer Banks this season.
Andy McQueen as Carlos Singh, Fiona Palomo as Sofia, and Lou Ferrigno as Ryan are joining the OG cast, as per Deadline.
What is the plot of Outer Banks season 3?
It kicks off with the Pogues on a deserted island after losing the gold and rushing from their hometown.
“They find themselves once again caught up in a race for the treasure, quite literally running for their lives,” a Netflix synopsis says.

“They’re broke and far from home, they can’t trust anyone, Ward and Rafe are hungry for revenge, and there’s a ruthless Caribbean Don who will stop at nothing to find the bounty.”
More plot details were revealed in an official trailer released in February 2023, in which John B’s voice asks: “was the treasure an escape, or was it a trap?”
In the footage, the narrator also emotionally reunites with his dad. Showrunner Josh Pate previously confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that their father-son relationship will be explored. He also teased some new romances.
