Unlikely power couple Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson took the world by surprise when they began a relationship last year and ever since then we’ve only wanted to see more of them.

We wondered if Pete would appear on season one of The Kardashians, given that it was filming while Kim and Pete were falling in love. Unfortunately, all we got was a behind-camera cameo at the very end… that is, until now.
Incredibly, the comedian just made his sexy on-screen Kardashians debut in the drama-filled trailer for the show’s upcoming second season, which is due to air in the US in September.
His appearance is super brief but tells us everything we need to know about how his and Kim’s romance will be depicted on the series.
In footage that appears to be taken behind the scenes at the Met Gala in 2022, Kim appears from a hotel room in a stunning green dress to speak to her boyfriend.
“Babe, do you want to shower with me really quick?” she asks, sister Khloé Kardashian remarking in surprise “shower with you?”
But Pete is clearly onboard, tossing his phone out of his hands to scurry out of the room after Kim, who was unzipping her dress.
Though brief, his cameo in the trailer has fans excited to see what role Pete will play in the new season – and wondering why he initially didn’t want to be on the show.
It seems Pete wasn’t keen on the show from the very beginning, with Kim revealing that he didn’t sign off on being filmed for The Kardashians as the show went backstage the week Kim hosted Saturday Night Live.
“We were filming our show, he was the one cast member who wouldn’t sign off, and he wasn’t there until just the day of,” Kim said on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.
Their relationship developed as filming of the show progressed, and the audience got to see Kim texting Pete, and lovingly talking about him with her family.
He was finally heard behind the camera in a post-credit scene in the final episode, where Kim introduced him to one of the members of the film crew.
“Pete, come here, you have to meet Paxy,” she calls behind to him.
“She knows everything about me, she’s probably seen my vagina,” Kim joked.
“More than me?” Pete asked while Kim smiled.
So, will we be seeing Pete on screen come season two? We thought it was unlikely, but looks like we were wrong.

While his relationship with Kim is quite public, Pete himself seems like quite a private person. He doesn’t have any social media, and is very focused on his work in acting and comedy.
Executive Producer on The Kardashians, Danielle King, also said that the it was up to Pete to decide if he ever wanted to appear on the show.
“The show is about our core cast, it’s about the family so if there are significant others, it’s really up to them,” she told Deadline.
“Kim never tried to persuade Pete (to be on the show). It’s always up to the significant other or the peripheral person that they’re dealing with.
She continued: “Pete’s a high-profile person, he’s an actor; like Kim has said before; when the cameras are rolling for him, it means performance time.
“When the cameras are rolling for this family, it’s time to get real. It’s a different muscle that they worked, and he worked,” she said.
While Kourtney’s new partner, Travis Barker, has been happy to be a part of the show alongside Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie’s partner Travis Scott and Kendall’s then-boyfriend Devin Booker did not appear on the new show.
But it looks like Pete has decided he’s open to showing his face for the cameras – though how big his role in the new season will be is still up in the air.
